Tam n pups winter trip 2022

Well the amount of glue I've put on it I ain't taking it back off . I pity if anyone ever needs to take this apart again as it's way stronger than the original. But I've never seen anyone take that silver foil off on any vanbuilds I've seen
It wouldn't matter on a van conversion it has a steel wall, in a CB the foam is part of the integral strength of the wall.

It is aye. But this timber free construction isn't timber free lol so the plywood is well bonded to the wooden battons which in turn is glued to the aluminium. So I doubt it will make any difference

You won't keep it long enough to be a concern anyway.

Well I'm planning to keep it at least 2 years but if I get it all sorted up I'll have it longer.

Bit more progress today , Chris gave me a hand to remove bathroom window and reseal it this morning before he left. I then removed the aluminium trip from the other side and resealed that.

You think you've a lot to do... here's one I found in the reduced aisle, just needs a wee bit of work to finish it.... 😂😂

Reckon you're going to have an amazing van by the time you've finished all the jobs Tam. And at a great price too.

You must be adding loads of value with all the renovation work. (y)

It looks really smart on the outside now and I’m sure that it’ll be likewise on the inside before long.

Now you have all these new skills maybe this one next :giggle:

The front bumper is nice but the rest is just scrap

Naaa, it’s already had the prep done with all that primer, a couple of rattle cans and a bit of t-cut it’ll be right as rain…😎

Nice one, are you using that CT1 stuff to reseal the windows Tam?
Something similar . Ob1 , polyurethane sealant adhesive. And everything else I'm using "the business " white polyurethane sealant adhesive. Much the same as sika just different brands

Been doing a bit on the back bumper too.

Weather forecast looks miserable for the weekend. So I'm hoping my lining carpet arrives tomorrow so I can press on with interior.

It should hopefully now be watertight , I've resealed all windows all skylights and all seams I can see.
