Tam n pups winter trip 2022

Our first Coach built, bought new, had a dip on the roof which sent water down towards the back. When the bumper fell off the van was taken by a Spanish guy who stripped it down. The whole of the back and one side was rotten. It was repaired. (It also revealed a Rats Nest on the chassis ). The roof was raised and we had further problems with it.

When the guy called us to go to look at the problem it looked like the end of the road. He was confident though and, after a lot of work, we went to collect a new van.

Well the rain stayed off and with the help Derek Razamataz we got the other 3 side windows all removed , the silicon mess cleaned up around the frames etc and then resealed and refitted.

It looks a lot better and hopefully will now be watertight .

Don’t know about old but certainly a star pal - I’ll bet you’ve given Tam just the boost he needed. Vans looking great too now!

Packed up for the day now though my hands are really sore today between the scraping etc. Will leave all them to set . Got a lot of other chores to get done. Grass cut etc so might have a day off the van tomorrow then get all the skylights sealed up on Sunday.

But certainly made the job easier. Those 2 big windows are a bit of a handful for one person.

No I used ob1 for the windows. It's a polyurethane non setting mastic.

I would happily take all of those parked along the grass edge ....but the middle row you can keep. Give me those classics everyday. Especially the mk1 escorts . I still miss mine
