Nah that was the earliest one I could get when I booked it last week. And can't take the chance of not getting a later one. I'll maybe get away for a week later on the Wednesday

Well it was the private one , agreed a price with the guy today and was just waiting on some pics he was going to send that he said he would send later today as he was going out to dinner. I Checked out train etc , was going down Wednesday.

Still not heard from him and now it seems someone has put a bid on it on ebay.

So at this minute I'm not sure if he will honour our agreement or not.

If I was the bidder on ebay though I'd be a little disgruntled as it only has 8 days mot on it , more miles than is stated in listing and it's been downplated too.

So they may well be unhappy with the misinformation.

I'm aware of them as we discussed it on phone prior to me agreeing to buy it.

Be interesting to see if he gets back to me or not

Obviously I can't be 100% certain

But there was a few things happened while the euramobil was advertised that made me suspect it was someone who had access to this thread.

It may or may not have been.

And then it was pretty much after I'd said I'd made a deal with the mobilvetta seller that a bid was placed on it.

No proof either way and it could well be coincidence, but from now on I think I'll just not mention what I'm doing till after it's done.

Saves any probs.

It's the joy of wheeling and dealing I guess and I'm currently juggling plates like a pro lol

Well we have to remember there's a whole load of read only members on here who don't comment etc . There's also a few I've got on ignore that have said things to a 3rd party ( who shall remain unnamed) which shows they can still access my threads etc and who are childish enough to do this.

But regardless I always get timewasters etc because I do buy and sell a lot and it's just the way things are nowadays.

They generally waste their own time more than mine.

I started a thread about ignore but for some reason Jim took the hough and removed it to the belly locker, but folks can still read your posts even if you are ignoring them by simply loging off and coming back anonymously , I have someone who for some reason has me on ignore and I get gaps in threads where she has posted something that I can't see, but as I say I can quite easily see them by logging off so it is pointless.

You would be surprised how petty and vindictive some people can be, but like Tam says it's wasting just as much of their time.

They know that I've posted up details etc regarding the timewasters etc

Anyway like I said I can't prove it either way so its no biggie. I'm just going to play my cards closer to my chest going forward.

I know most people who follow and comment on here are good folk who just enjoy sharing the experience etc.

But there are some folk who get a kick out of causing bother.


It's why when I was returning from Morocco etc I had to tell a few white lies on here with regards to the Austrian couple and geordie couples return details etc as I had been informed by a member ( again unnamed) that another member/s had made comments to them regarding the dogs being brought back from Maroc and that they had mentioned contacting port authorities etc etc

Others have made comments regarding my ferry crossings and the dogs etc

Some folk are just busybodies sadly , and I'm realising that .

I'm a fairly open book on here and I wish the thread was only available to paid up members etc but it isn't and end of the day I've got to be aware of that.

So don't worry I'll still keep you all updated with what's happening etc. I'm just going to not say out till after things are tied down.

We're always willing to help out, as far as we can, when anyone visits our part of Spain.

We've had people asking about helping in other parts (000's km away). Just cos we live in n Spain we can't do miracles

But, as far as possible, we will help anyone (Funster especially) with a problem in our region.

Oh well Tam. Glad to har you'll still be on here anyway even if you do have to be a bit cautious because of idiots.
A friend of mine is trying to sell her house and is totally fed up with time wasters either making appointments and not turning up, criticising her house on social media, trying to bully her in to accepting a lower price, or agrreeng to buy it and then more or less vanishing. Just the same as you're experiences buying and selling motorhomes.
