Tam n pups winter trip 2022

Lots of "party" space there.

We prefer a garage for our bikes and so we only have a small lounging area.

We're all different, and it's a good thing
Aye I've got used to no garage but did have a lot of storage in the euramobil. But I then carry loads of stuff I don't really need to. I don't use a bike now cause I've the dogs . But I've not decided yet whether I'll take a scooter or not.

If I'd bought the race van I'd have had a proper motorbike in the back .

It's all compromise somewhere.

Our first after many caravans was a new Autotrail Tribute in 2012, then in 2014 we went bigger with a new Bailey Approach Autograph, in 2019 we went a bit smaller with a new Chausson and earlier this year we went bigger again with a second hand Bailey Autograph we came across with only 5500 miles on the clock.

2006 Mclouis Tandy 640g, bought at 8 years old for £19k, but it did need about £1k of mechanical work (known at purchase). Now 17 years old, I've still got it and have had 9 years of use out of it, and they seem to go for about £25k when they come up. Madness really.

Apart from years ago with various converted vans .
This time around we started with this one in 2010, bought unseen off eBay and this is it in Pisa about a month later.
Gave £2800 for it did over three thousand miles in it on one run and then various other runs , then coulden keep up with following the rust around so we got the bug and sold this back on eBay for three grand and bought

But it was never the same fun as the old ldv and we kept it for a couple of years ,then it had to go, so sold it through motorhome department for the same we paid for it.
Then the pièce de resistance 👍we built our own with this Lifetime van

I know folks have a laugh at our old ambulance, but it's got a full 6x 6 double bed , proper table and seats, full three ring cooker with grill and oven, compressor fridge, full size shower and toilet, hot and cold running water , large sink and drainer, gasit system, full lighting, diesel heater, 34 mpg regular as clockwork, solar, inverter and I don't know what else.
Just nothing else we could possibly want all for £3500 all in.

you said the LDF was at Pisa, is the compass at the Mull of Galloway, the stealth van location I've no idea!

This sounds like an ebay ad lol.

What is a full 3 ring cooker lol. As opposed to a not full 3 ring cooker 😁

Large sink?

Full lighting 😁

I love them but just not practical unless you are a couple or single with no dogs and love paying for campsite facilities.

so you had toilet, shower and cooking in a VW camper?

A lot of vans just have two rings and no grill and oven, built in lights in the roof from the ambulance, it's like Blackpool in there if we ever switch them all on.

Yeah you are right, I'll check up on the other.
