The old hymer was lovely and if I'd been able to go view it ,make sure the welding had been done right etc and it drove OK I would have bought that for 10k ...I wouldn't have paid the 12k for it though. We all like different vans and that’s the way it should be.
Personally I’m not a fan of that horse box conversion.
Now that iconic Hymer was lovely you linked, to me you will always get your money back and possibly make some on the classic Hymer but your resale clientele will be severely limited on the horse box in comparison.
Just my opinion as I say.
But I liked the layout , chances of another one coming up in the timescale i have is slim though.
I liked the drive of the iveco I had 2 years ago ....it was just too small and a bit shitty inside.
I no longer want an expensive van , I'd rather have a larger savings behind me possibly gaining interest now and a cheaper useable practical van I can live and travel in.
The more I look at the race van the more I like it. Its more vanlife than a motorhome and by the time I'd fettled with it a bit inside and out I think it would do me well .
I'm just waiting for the reg number from the guy so I can check it's mot history then I'm probably ready to make my offer on it.
