Tam n pups winter trip 2022

I'm slowly being tortured to death by a potential ( probably unlikely) buyer who plagued me for hours a week ago then disappeared and is now back asking lots of stuff about payload, axle weights, towing weights etc but as much as that is OK he is obviously clueless and I'm struggling to find other ways of making it any simpler than it already is.

I'm not sure if it's that he doesn't believe me or whether he just doesn't understand but I'm literally pulling my hair out here

We've been thinking of changing to a PVC, but, even though we've offloaded a lot of cr@p, we still need more storage than we'd get in a PVC and also want a garage for expensive ebikes.

Soooo, we're still stuck with our Hymer Tramp. 6.5m with garage. It's old, but does the job we want it for (until the next problem shows itself. Then we'll start the process of change all over again 🙄)

And we don't have three dogs!

Wouldn't beg it.

Not the same but got “tortured to death” by a guy who wanted to buy my scooter, for his motorhome it turned out, but he was clueless, didn’t even have a provisional motorbike licence category on his licence. Asked the dumbest questions but eventually bought my scooter for near the asking price and we were both happy. I had to ride it to his house and he gave me a lift home. You just have to humour them Tam to get the sale and hope the time invested in going through all the crap is worth it! 👍😁

It's a lot of van for the money. There's a lot of it I would change around but the basics are there.
I had that van as a horsebox. Best vehicle I ever had. Converted from an Electric Board van. Sad day when it went. Never let me down

I'm convinced that he's someone from here. He phoned me last weekend when I was visiting Razamataz , he wants to modify the rear lounge and make it in to 2 single beds etc . Which sounds mad but it could be done quite easily . Anyway he said last week he was going to make an offer and then disappeared only to resurface again this weekend. I think beer is probably playing a part.... but anyway a million questions via text instead of just phoning and then once again disappeared. I can only assume its a van for 2025 he's after as I've changed vans twice in the time he takes to decide what he's doing.

I'm not holding my breath on him buying it

It looks OK but, no lounge space, really only single bed, not exactly a "go anywhere" van it is very cheap though.

Obviously it requires work but what's folks thoughts
I think the bunk bed over the cab is a waste of headroom in seating area. I cannot imagine you would use it. Then there are the rear bunk beds, you on the top, dogs on the bottom?
Not as nice as a wrap around lounge with space for you and the dogs to stretch out on wet days or long evenings.

Its Mawkit inside Tam, the Pink seats especially, you would spend a week in there just to get it clean. The current owner would let un unkempt bachelor down in the way that van is presented.
But, if you are prepared to be ruthless, chuck some stuff out, replace with new, then it might be worth a further look. See it in the flesh, how it drives, especially uphill(y);) Just think Morello's are built on IVECO rear wheel drive chassis, so cant be all bad.

Interesting to see the maps of Australia and North America on the walls. Surely he hasn’t taken it over there, has he?

Sorry but I think it’s awful & it’s huge! I know it’s cheap, but you’d have to do so much to it, & how would it be better than the one you’ve got?
Couldn't have put it better myself, I quite like ugly, but that is awful.

Tam is there not an actual purpose van that would suit you I understand why you want to build one but if you could just buy one but you seem to be beating yourself up

It was just an idea , very similar to the vario horsebox I posted up a few weeks back only this one was registered as a motor caravan and had a lot of the expensive fitments already there. Ie large fridge freezer. Windies. Bathroom ,cooker etc and I could probably get it for 4.5 grand , I would obviously be redoing a lot of the interior but could have adapted it to suit . It's only 7 metres long so shorter than the euramobil. And it's rear wheel drive and iveco rather than fiat.

I am obviously looking at a lot of different options

Anyway I've now taken a deposit on the vario and it should be collected by the end of the month hopefully.

Still no concrete leads on the euramobil, still getting the odd enquiry and I've still 2 folk that have been messaging about it for over a week but I'm classing them as just dreamers at the minute.

I'm still happy to hold on to it till I find the right buyer as I am not accepting less than 32k for it unless I have removed a lot of the solar, lpg kit, b2b etc that I would then fit on my next van.

There is a hymer s650 not far from me I'm considering going to view that's lhd on a merc but is an auto which I'm not sure of.

I don't have any desire whatsoever to go away over winter with this van again as I really don't enjoy driving it so if not sold I think I might just take a year out , and save some money.

No you’d be better keeping the euro that thing looks a heep of worry🤔🤔😂

Whatever I buy the one thing guaranteed is I will be selling this euramobil .

And I'll never buy a tag axle again.

I said that after the frankia...I just found myself in an awkward situation last year and panic bought

Shame your selling the vario it looked like a good base to start with. (y)

I Tealt ye this is the yoke for you! 😂😂
