Tam n pups winter trip 2022

I think you would be wise to contact Gadget John, I’m sure he could knock you something up, oh no sorry it would have a shower or hot water or proper water & grey tank ::bigsmile:
I think you should be sent to Coventry for that post.

Right

I want to try living and travelling for 12 months in a van this size with 3 dogs to see how practical it is.

I just need 60k sponsors at £1 or 30k at £2 lol

Or 10k at £6 🤣🤣

I like the layout of this and its compact size.

That's what crowdfunding is all about, I'll send you a couple of quid if you can get another 29,999 to do the same.

Me too I enjoy reading your travels and ducking and diving

Tam I have said it before but I am going to say it again. Get the vario done to your spec even if you use some of your savings. Use it and decide if you like it or hate it. If you hate it sell it on, and the prices they are fetching you can repay your savings back and more so. If you like it you have what you wanted and the money from the other motorhome can go back in your savings. All the time you are not doing anything you are loosing valuable time and will end up staying in the U.K. for the winter and then be moaning on here to us all about the shite weather in Scotland and not telling us about the sun in places you are travelling to and from. 😂 Just get the bloody thing done man. 😂👍

To be honest I've come to the conclusion I have absolutely no idea what I want .

But I do know I don't have it at the minute

I have a sort of checklist.

Fixed bed
Big proper waterproof shower , no wood in there or waterproof wallpaper it has to be a plastic lined spacious shower.

Good heating

Good batteries, with solar so I don't need to rely on hookup

Comfortable to drive and have a decent lounge seat even if that's the cab seats

An oven
A decent size fridge freezer.

Decent ground clearance

I would prefer a lhd
I would prefer rwd
I'd prefer a merc or iveco chassis

And preferably 7 meters max

And of course a decent amount of storage and payload. I'm trying to clear out all the stuff I don't need to carry.
Don’t we all. 😉

I was in my mates vario for about 5 minutes, personally I couldn’t travel any distance with that noise. Maybe it could be insulated or maybe I was spoiled by my previous V6 3l Merc purr.

Any thoughts on the previous owner of the varios offer

But they aren't fetching the prices at the minute. I've loads on watch on ebay nothing is moving

Anyway I think I've sold the vario

So if you have sold the vario are you still trying to sell the non-Vario or will you use it this winter?

Suddenly you’re getting antsy, thought you didn’t like that kind of thing. 🤔
I have been having one last go at a bit of fun sweet cheeks I'm ever so sorry if I upset you xx

Personally, I think a PVC might be a bit small for long trips.
I have no doubt you'd fit and be comfortable but it might be a bit cramped.

When pitched I tend to make up the third bed for Kerry [she uses half at any one time, unless she really stretched out]. I use the swivel seats.

In the Wildax, it's a small 90l fridge with a wardrobe on top - you have to have the XL [6.4m] to have the full size fridge/freezer.

I can't believe you're selling the Vario - how will you ever scratch that itch?

I might never scratch it .

Or I might buy a different style of vario .

Who knows

We are on our first van we wanted a pvc but then when I cleaned my work van out to sell it we realised just how small they are
Our van is only 6 and half long coach built but so much more room
And now 5 years later grandkids are popping out at a rate of knotts so need a bigger one now
Will probably have another look at pvc in 10 or so years so the kids can't fit in and come with us
