Up In Tayport at my usual haunt for a night or two. Give the van a run out as apart from 20 minute test drive yesterday it's not moved since I got home. Surprisingly quiet up here so I've got my usual spot . View attachment 761993View attachment 761994

I can find some empathy with the guy... Yours is a significant amount over his budget, maybe wipes out any contingency reserves he has, or has to borrow.

He probably knows it's a good van but really too expensive for him that's why he's dithering...

Or maybe he knew how much it was before setting off and surely knew it was over his budget, he’s just taking the p!ss and hoping to steal it.

Aye I've already had folk come and view it who then said they had no money. They don't seem to realise its time-wasting. If they want to go play housy they can do it at a dealer showroom

Aye I haven't told him . I told him I was after the best price and no rush to sell it. Which is the truth. But I do want it sold at somepoint lol.

Just had some dealer on the phone making an offer on the van ...immediate bank transfer of £27k and collected tomorrow.

Needless to say he got told to Jog on .

His argument of " I need to make a profit " isn't my concern

But still no other offers sadly , still not heard back from the guy who's viewed it twice.

Yep most likely, getting asked if there's invoices for oil changes etc now.

I have to say out of all my motorhomes I've never had one with a stamped service book , there's been receipts etc but never a comprehensive one. I do all that stuff myself so I've no receipts for recent oil changes. I did the last one in torremolinos back in April when I changed front brake pads .

It's been open to offers all the way through . I've not had many though.

Now I'm being offered p/exchanges for all sorts lol .

I've had a cash offer now but a little low , I've given them a counter offer so will see how that goes

Well the waster from edinburgh has finally bowed out as his budget is 30k max. So I can forget about him now.

The guy on ebay hasn't officially declined my counter offer of £33k yet through the system but has messaged saying its above his budget and £31,500 is his max .

I'm not prepared to accept that at present I'd rather readvertise it for another month and see.

So it looks like it's still unsold unless he changes his mind in the next hour.

At 31.500 I'd be inclined to remove the refillable gas system and half the solar.

I've suggested that to him but I doubt he will go for it.

Hey ho I'm not desperate to sell it I just would have liked to.


I've a week yet to decide what I'm doing with the merc too as at the minute I feel I'm getting nowt done anywhere.

Could be a tactic to make it easier to contact you after it ends for an even more stupid offer than you've already had, don't the 'contact seller' links disappear when it ends, they certainly used to.
