German reg, they do produce some weird campers. That overhang must be right on the limit or he has a tame TUV man.

It's that time of year again to escape ....Will be heading west this morning for a few days before our ferry to Belfast on Thursday 15th. Planning to tour northern Ireland and eire till late November before making our way south to Spain.

Once again I have a polar steps set up to follow .

The link is here https://www.polarsteps.com/tambrand...d-isle?s=c814ec06-e02b-4618-9af3-88b9ed081bc4

For those who followed last year you probably already got a notification . For anyone else who wants to follow just follow the link and send a request.

I also have our Instagram @the_boondockin_bums

This thread as usual will probably be picture heavy and there will be lots of doggy pics too.

So that's it I'll update later where we've ended up today. Will be heading off around 11am I imagine.

Just for memory sake

Departing mileage is 30,245 miles
Have fun! We are going to Spain in a few weeks for first time and haven't finalised our plans yet. What areas are you visiting, hopefully may give us some location tips, if that's ok? 🙂

Excellent idea, creates a nice garage lol😆
But it doesn't....all the crap thrown up from the wheels will cover the bikes when moving. He'd have been better fitting it the correct way but to the rear of the chassis then having the sheltered bit behind the cab. Could even have boxed it in. Or put it right against bulkhead and built a box on the back.

It still wouldn't have fitted as the over cab sits lower than the cab roof so the body would sit quite a way back, he'd also have had to extend the chassis a fair bit to support the body so a lot of the weight would be on the rear axle and probably overload it.

What's he's done is create a rear-bed MH with an 'open' garage, I'd have closed in the bit where the bikes were to form an enclosed area though assuming there was sufficient capacity on the rear axle.

Lovely sunny day now ...with the odd light shower . We've had a walk and explored Ballycastle. The town itself isn't anything special , the old friary is quite interesting but right in the middle of a blooming golf course so it's a bit of a challenge getting to it without getting brained by a golf ball. We then explored all the rocks at the beach , its a cracking coastline that's for sure.

Nah ...yuck horrible stuff

Or at least it was last time I tried it...30 years ago 😁

It really does taste much better there..🍺
It definitely is better from a pump there - even I like it.

At first look, I thought the water safety bouy was a golf hole flag - that’s challenging was my thought! 🤣

I wouldn't put it past them, the golf course here is spread all over , you've to cross 3 roads to do a round. And the old friary is slap in the middle of it ...you've to cross the 2nd tee to get to it

I've had to call the local vet and I'll have to take ela along tomorrow as it looks like she's got conjunctivitis. One eye has been seeping green sludge since this morning. Hopefully the other 2 don't catch it before I get some drops or ointment.

Or even better raised it to clear the cab - it doesn't need to be raised far.

That’s a very elaborate bridge just to cross over to more rocks. It must have been built with EU funding!
No signs on it but probably just local council , when the tide is in the bridge is necessary. Its very popular there's been a stream of folk over it all day .

Picked up some eye ointment from the vet this morning for elas eye, only a fiver ...I was very surprised. So 4 times a day and see how it goes hopefully it will clear it up
