Tam n pups winter trip 2022

Nice, are some of your other photos other locations from GOT?

I'm starting to really enjoy the spin off series that has recently started. Forgot the name of it 🙈
Not yet but coming up over the next few days.

I don't know if it has no gas . It just isn't cold so I assumed that's the problem as it usually is. But its not something I'm too bothered with .
Usually if the clutch pulley is making a noise it means that it’s burnt out and will need replacing, the cause could be a seized pump, if your going to get it fixed then a new compleat pump is advisable.£££££££££££

A few years back when GOT mania was at it's height, Mrs F threatened a classroom of unruly kids that if they didn't quiet down and do their work she'd shout out the ending, having read all the books.

The little darlings went very quiet and got on with their work.......

I’m up to episode 5 on house of the dragon… in this one they had them taking a carriage across the causeway of st Michaels mount down here in marazion… this series is taking its time getting warmed up but lots of recognisable house names…

Annoyingly I seem to have driven past a few places I meant to visit ...about 10 miles back so I'm gonna have to backtrack either tomorrow or Thursday.

Nae signs for places 😡

Have just hiked up to the hidden village of galboly ...another GOT location. Its that well hidden I'd driven past the bloody thing yesterday on my way from Carnlough to Cushendall. So had to double back this morning to come see it and I'm glad I did ...absolutely stunning scenery . But ye'll have to wait to see it as I took a million photos and have to go through them and pick the best. Got back to the van and it's absolutely covered in little flies. Impossible to get in without letting some in so it's carnage in here at the minute

We had an early morning walk on the beach at Cushenden this morning

And then we headed off back the way we'd came yesterday in search of the hidden village of galboly . It's thar well hidden we had driven past it when we left Carnlough, no signs or anything to tell you it's there although it is on the map if you zoom in enough.

The village was another Game of thrones location which is the most life its seen since 2013 when the last resident a 73 year old monk passed away ...his house is the thatched one that's the most intact in the photos. It's set in some absolutely stunning scenery and if you carry on up the trail past the village the views are amazing .

There is no "idle "bearing on an ac pump. The actual pump is idle until the clutch pulls in. That front plate is basically a metal faced clutch that can be removed by undoing the 8mm head centre bolt . The only bearing is contained in the continually rotating pully & is an interference fit over the clutch solenoid which in turn fits over the front of the pump body & contains the wiring socket for the plug. the solenoid is changable for about 30€ but to my knowledge the rotating pulley isn't unless a pump remanufacturer would sell one.
When you put power to the ac pump it energises the solenoid & pulls the stationary clutch plate back against the pulley face which starts the internal pump rotating. The front clutch plate is shimmed internally between 14 & 30, 000's of an inch & has to be left in place to ensure the pulley doesn't come off.
I used a Ford one on my lathe. Its still going strong (silently) 15 years on (2hp lathe motor). They're tough little bu88ers.

I assume you've checked the tensioner?
I did . That's fine it's definitely the bearing on the pump pulley . It has about 5mm side play in it and when rotated by hand its grinding like mad , think the bearing has collapsed

Back at cushendun now for the night , only myself and 1 of the motorhomes from last night here at present so I've parked down with a view of the beach this time. I'll use the scooter to go check out Torr head tomorrow. ...made my apple and blackberry pie too

Took the scooter along the scenic coastal route to Torr head this morning , thankfully the rain stayed off as its showery today . There was once a lighthouse here but it was burned down by the IRA in 1922. . So it's just a ruin now , lovely views in both directions.

I then went off in search of murlough bay , another of NI hidden gems and another of game of thrones filming locations. Claimed to be the most beautiful bay in northern Ireland. Probably because anything bigger than a car can't get down here . It is very beautiful. I didn't fancy going past the guard cows though or riding through the piles of shit so that's as far as I went.

Tam Hats off too you, your weight loss is really showing. The ladies you meet along the way, could be interesting.
As usual your photos are so good they really give a feel of your travels, like the way you seek out the less travelled places.

The 'ladies' he is meeting are just silly old moos.

Stunning photos! Paul lived in Belfast for many years and has family there but I've only been briefly to visit once at Christmas when the weather was grim and before we had a motorhome. Looks like a tour of Ireland needs adding to the ever growing list of holiday destinations!

Ireland is stunning, I used to go every year in September October time to go surfing. Not been for a good few years now but love the island, the peaple and of course the Guinness. (y)
