I had 3 RS Cosworth back in the day
1 Sierra RS 500, 1 Escort & 1 Sierra Sapphire everyone of them was great fun... especially in the wet
The Sierra's were 2nd hand but the Escort was new and I got offered free track time at Brands Hatch with the deal but living in Ireland I had to turn it down wasn't practical but the twisty roads of Donegal were better to learn on anyway lol

Mange tout , I was a fordy fan. Had numerous escorts ,cortinas, granadas, consuls, capris etc , hated the sierras and the newer escorts , last escorts I had were the mk5 rs turbo .

I watched that wheeler dealer the other night and they are now in America, they had an escorts cosworth on it and actually added a 3rd fin on the back . It looked even more stinking than usual lol

so I fekin ended up with a 3 wheeler robin reliant 1964

My favourite ford's I owned was a genuine mk1 escort Mexico in orange and a fake mk1 lotus cortina. I had a nice gold mk3 cortina glx aswell which I loved. Mk1 3.0 brooklands capri in dark green , limited edition mk3 granada scorpio which was fully loaded.

Had some really awesome ford's before I got in to vw's and yank tanks which stole all my money

I think I had better fun in some of my aul motors than the stuff I have now, they're just investments now whereas back then you drove them for 100% enjoyment

Yeah I mean I never had money as a youngster , I picked cars up for between £30 and £350 , never paid much more till I was in my 30's . I swapped a lot of them rather than buying , I swapped a Nissan urvan van once for a Renault 18 ,a 4 berth caravan and a 14ft fishing skiff boat with 2 engines lol . I then swapped the boat for a mk5 cortina, the Renault 18 for a talbot sunbeam and the caravan for a custom Bedford van running a Ford 1600 crossflow. Those were the days lol. Age 18 I had at one point 12 cars parked outside my mums house , I came home from work one day and a traffic warden had been at the door and told my mum that not one of them had tax or mot on them and I had till 12pm the next day to move them all or they would tow them away . So that night me and my dad had to drive them all round family and friends houses and park them outside theirs lol . That's how my mum and dad finally let me put a driveway in their garden


I bought my first car 4 weeks after I started my apprenticeship age 16 and by the time I passed my driving test at 17 1/2 I'd had easily 30 cars it got worse from then on . Its only since I sold the house that I'm limited to how many I have. When I went fulltime in 2017 I sold my collection at the time which consisted of a Peugeot rcz , an astra convertible , a Renault captur, a suzuki bandit 1250 , a yamaha dragstar 650 , a vw autosleeper trophy, and a Renault kangoo van lol

We only had one walk today , we left at 10am we walked from where we are parked to the other end of roquetas de mar where the nature park starts , Jackie complained most of the way we had coffee around 12 and then she spent 45 minutes trying on clothes in a shop , walked back stopped for beer and tapas around 3.30 , got back to the vans around 5pm lol . 18km round trip

Jackie's knackered but I could have carried on easily . Dogs were a bit pooped but think they just come out in sympathy with Jackie as their fine when it's just me .

I had a lovely blue Ford Sierra, I asked a stunning beautiful woman out loads fancied her and she said yes, first date went for a drive and I was showing off, too fast around a corner and over the other side of the road hit another car head on.

If I hadn’t we would have gone right into the water at Fairburn Ings.

No injuries but Sierra a write off.

I never saw her again

Age 16, a Honda Express Deluxe moped. I should have sued Honda, it wasn't "Express" and it certainly wasn't "Deluxe". I couldn't afford a Fizzy or a DT50 25mph flat out, 30 only achievable with gravitational assistance.

Still, it was £50 and I sold it a year later for - £50! If the tank was really empty I could get £1 worth of petrol in it! I took the basket off the front at least........

My mate's sister had a Honda Buzz, think it had a spring loaded, ratcheting kick start ?
The local garage wouldn't let her fill up as sometimes the old mechanical pump wouldn't start to register the fuel before the tank was topped up !

I was once in the bad books for weeks because I happened to emphasise how pretty an ex girlfriend was to my then present girlfriend.

Those are sought after these days by vanlifers. Lightweight and Easy to chuck in a van .
