Tam n pups winter trip 2022

Not understanding computers or social media stuff, how do you follow Tam, as the advice earlier was totally over my head

Well I think I've put a friend request on polar steps. First time I've been on it but it looks a great way of tracking a trip. I do hope Tam decides to come back to this thread. I don't post much but I have really enjoyed reading.

For tracking yes, little narration as on here, not so much for [on topic] discussion & feedback
 
Am also trying to see Tam on polar steps. Will look at it a bit more closely might be a way to track our trips.

It does the tracking automatically - you just add photos at each stop and any comments.
I've found it quite good but somewhat power hungry.

Oh gosh, have you ever seen my photos? So glad you can delete digital, headless, feet only folk, insides of handbags, and total strangers,do sometimes get a nice scene, but it is good luck, not expertise, might get john to send me his good ones and use them.

I've used Polar Steps for some time now. One of the best features is that you can put a start date in and a finish date and it will automatically start and finish on those dates and run continuously during the that time. Even if you turn your phone off it will restart when as soon as your phone is turned on. Another great feature is although it uses phone signal and gps for location tracking it will still work fine on gps only.
As others have said it's a free app. The way they make money is by persuading you to buy a photo book using your travel notes and photos. The books and printing are of high quality and can be recommended.

Before the site was updated we could (and did) post blogs. These could not be commented on in the main “thread”, only below. So, if they were allowed again Tam might open one. We had a number that are now only on Wordpress.
The pros are that no one can take it off topic or have pages of discussion.

I'm still pissed off that I've been misled , I was assured that when I put someone on 2 way ignore to quote " I became invisible to them" and it seems that is not true.

Most of the people I have on ignore have been there for years , and yes I have quite a few on there, some I don't even think are still members. I put people on ignore because it saves me getting in to trouble, I don't put people on ignore for no reason , and the reason may not feel justified to others but at the end of the day its my choice if I don't want to interact with these people.

Every other social media platform I use has a block function . Its there to protect the individual and it WORKS , it doesn't create division it simply creates a SAFE space.

If someone is homophobic, transphobic, racist or just downright annoying I don't want to engage with them , I don't care if they also are an expert on anything I might be interested in because at the end of the day I have morals and I won't stray from those and ignore toxic behaviour .

I'm friends with several people on here and elsewhere who I don't agree with on everything and who may well have some strange beliefs or views but they aren't aggressive or extreme with them , they are open to changing those views or accepting things aren't as black and white as they think .... I've no issue with that.

But if someone makes me uncomfortable or repeatedly ruins my day to the point I'm dwelling on a comment or action then I've the right to remove them from my space/life


I'm also reluctant to make myself and others suffer because of a few arseholes so I'll still post here , but to the trolls I will say this , if you're that bored or your life is lacking so much you need to stalk a thread you apparently can't see most of then you need to reassess your life choices.


Anyway. I've had quite a pleasant couple of days not bothering to look for stuff to post up on here , I enjoyed just chilling on the beach with my dogs , had a few dips in the sea , caught a bit sun , few sunsets etc , not much to be honest but it was hassle free.


I'm now back in peurto mazarron as I gave up and phoned the vet yesterday to ask why there was such a delay with jade and milos results. Despite the vet speaking good English there's a clear problem with communication here. She keeps going on about ela not having enough antibodies and can't go to Morocco etc , I ended up having to interrupt and say "forget about ela. Pretend for a moment she doesn't exsist , I will deal with her later " I can't do anything about ela till 18th January . " what I want is jade and milos results entered in their passports so I can move on further south". I've now spent 3 weeks or more around this area and I'm getting bored. So I have an appointment at vets at 11.15 where hopefully she will sort out their information as I can't believe they would post the documents in this day and age.

I'll update later how that has went.

If vet sorts the passports today I'll be heading back to roughly aguilas for tonight then down to Almeria tomorrow most likely.

Jackie went to cartagena yesterday as she wanted to go clothes shopping so I'll meet up with her either tonight or tomorrow
