IMO The OP doesnt own the thread. However like others say, it's about respect. Northernraider puts alot of effort into the thread. So, if an OP asked me to stop doing something I would. Not because I have to but because I want to and I respect his/her view.

Yes I hope Tam comes back soon. I also hope that those who just seek to cause trouble, regardless of whether it's against the rules or not, stop.

As you probably know, Tam posts regularly on Polarsteps though unlike here, as OP he has control over who can or can't view and contribute to his posts. Just saying in case like me you are missing your daily 'fix'!
As many on here seem to enjoy and respond positively to Tam's posts, it would be a shame if he was to completely take the huff and withdraw from posting here because of forum rule semantics. Again just my perspective.

Having said all that its all been quiet from him on there these last few hours! Think that cheap adulterated plonk he was imbibing has taken its toll! Either that or his beard baubles have blinded him.

No you have to allow someone to follow you if you keep it as private. I have been using it for yours - more really as a diary for me as it makes it easier to look back on.

Perhaps Jim Could consider a section for blogs on here, ie where only the OP can post. I have no idea how much work it would be though. If such a thing is considered could I plead for posts in chronological order, rather than new posts at the top which makes many blogs hard to read.
There is no doubt that this sort of thread can go off course, a while back there was a load of irrelevant posts about fish which detracted from the excellent and informative thread.

I think it’s nice that peaple on here can post on the likes of Tams thread. It makes him feel good about his travels and he knows we are appreciative of his effort of posting the pics and giving us info of where he is etc. If no one could post comments then for him he would not know if peaple liked it or not so what would be the point. And like my mum always told me if you got nothing good to say, say nothing.

I sent Tam a request, he accepted and i’m all caught up again, it’s made me realised that what with this thread, Polarsteps and Instagram it must be very time consuming to continue with all the input to keep them all interesting.
