Was the aire still busy? We spent three weeks there and over Easter. Lovely parades through the village.

I had a sort of chat to the pigeon owners when we were at Ricote.
They are not racing pigeons but they are competitive. If you watch when the guys come, there are some single pigeons brought along in crates. Theses are females and the game is to see which male pigeon from the flock manages to spend the most time, and is the most attentive to the released female. The guys seem to spend most of their time peering in the nearest bush to see who is the winner!

And for a small village it has a gin bar!

Yes, the female is a "plain Jane" and is chased around the skies by up to 50 males. They landed in the middle of the aire on Easter Monday and it nearly ended up in fisticuffs. Angela went out and took some great pictures of the birds when the guys started shouting at each other about who's bird had "won"

Did you fit the basket to the bike yet Tam, if so has Jade given it the seal of approval?

Morning hymie ...not done it yet I popped in to lorca to visit @gus-lopez yesterday and jade was otherwise distracted with his dog Alfie.....she may well have broke her 1t minute walk schedule tearing round the garden.
And Richard and I were having a natter.
I'm heading up the hills today to velez -blanco and ill fit the basket when parked up there

Another very successful night with jade. I went to bed just after 11 didn't use the crate last night she just settled up on the sofa with her blanket and went to sleep, not a single whine or peep out of her till 7.15 this morning.

Can't believe how good she's being ....really is a wee star

I think she thinks she's a cat

Saw a couple of interesting motors down at playa carraleona . The first was a cracking offroad motorhome and the second a minted old Renault 4 used as a moho get around
Haven't seen one in that condition for a while and not seen one in the UK for years
An uncle of mine had one around 1980 and at a guess id have said it was early 70'S
Always liked them for some reason

Beautiful shot of Jade in post 2713, but it looks like your starting to suffer from travellers bloat (Bloomin Large Over-Active Tummy) :whistle2::whistle2:

The sooner you get that basket on and start pedalling the better I think.

Sorry Tam, just showing off cos I've lost 4 pound this week.

Hymie.

It’s nice to see her on your lap as I can see her size now-a little bit bigger than our JRT!
She is being very good sleeping right thru and-so far-no chewing tendencies!
Good luck with the bike basket!
Good as gold she is. ...so happy about that as it's the one thing was worried about

Renault 4's & 6's have big following in France you often see loads in France on their rallies painted in bright colours with spare wheels strapped to the roof.

Drove up to velez -blanco this morning and went to visit the castle.
Sign said no dogs allowed but jade being so cute the lady on the desk said no problemo and we got to go in :)
It's clearly under restoration but what a view it has over the town and mountains.
It's freezing up here even with the sun out ...
