Tam, Jade and Franky's European Adventure

Jade doesn’t look too worried about the cycle basket, probably more the oddity of it!
Lovely to see her playing tag, nice to see she will come to your whistle even is she doesn’t stop, its really hard to stop G if she’s playing tag!
Yes I think she will be fine with the basket after a few more tries ...its like everything else it's just getting used to it
Not had her a week yet and she's come on leaps and bounds.

nice up there though . have friends live in huercal overa . and a couple in cantoria.
mind if you go abit north east from huercal you can visit san francisco. . just off the a350. nothing there really but it makes a laugh having a pic of the sign.
you get a real good view of the sierra nevada mountains and sierra de baza mountains to the west of you , watch the snow coming at times and think lets get down to the coast.
mind soon be time to head up through the national ark by cazorla great drive through the forests , lovely in the parks , wild deer ,wild boar , red squirrels . some great lake side stops if you keep quiet etc .

Cazorla is lovely but still cold there this year I expect.

We might be cycling there next week. We'll be staying in hotels tho'!

several times we have gone north from adra going through sierra nevada then north through cazorla and the park there on the bumpy forset road from cuenca to tiscar -don-pedro half way between turn right then head north . its fantastic.
we then head north and head for sayaton . nice by the river there then on to pareja ,again nice by the emballsa then slightly north and west visiting lakes etc then palencia and north again to the pecos de europa .
very often follow the snow ploughs through sierra nevada and the pecos . the drivers actually remember us now .
there really are so many ways through spain . you can get kind of lost for years .
do a few don quijote runs on the way through la mancha .
have fun and enjoy the drives tam. you will be back for more i,m sure .

Well we had a look around the market got some veg and a couple more doggy blankets and a wee chew toy for jade for being such a good girl.

Drove down to garuccha and think I'll stay here tonight.
It's much warmer by the coast and as much as I like the mountains it was 4° last night and that's nae guid ....i had to put long trousers on.

Have to leave the mountains for a bit I think but as I've to return to totana in July anyway I'll drive up through the hills then as I may then appreciate it being cooler.
Parked up near the marina 3 other motorhomes here at the minute

You'll like parts of Cabo de Gata, your next port of call I imagine. Try to find out of the way parking areas and you should be OK.

One we saw on a recent visit there. We were on a campsite cos we were visiting @Hagstrom but this is the sort of place we'd normally search out.

Yes cabo de gata probably next.
That Bavarian couple i met a few weeks ago told me if a few spots around there one up near a lighthouse. Apparently there's a hippy commune there too :)

Just been out on the bike again with jade and she loved it this time just sat down and looked around as we cycled along the promenade.

Got a bloody puncture though and discover my rear tyre is worn through so have to go get a tyre and tube.

Bike shop doesn't open till 5pm what's that all about lol. They close at that time back home

Can't have everything. Don't have good winter weather back home either, even though this winter has been less than good!

Not complaining but jade is p@@sed off she wanted to go see the other beach but we need a tyre first

Quality Tam, the way she is with you , anyone would think you’ve had her for years.

Mickey
Im starting to wonder if she is only 3 months old ....she seems way to clever for that.

on a "sniff" walk it feels like I've had her years I'm sure she's dislocated my arm.

How something weighing 4.9kg can bring someone weighing 95kg to an abrupt halt amazes me. And she finds something to sniff every 2 feet.

What on earth was that?

Managed to get a tyre ....2nd time lucky

Walked along with jade 1.5km to the bike shop picked up a 28" tyre because the marking on the tyre were worn off but the tube said 28"
Walked back went to fit tyre and it was too big.

Left jade in van and went back to shop ....its a blooming 700 tyre I needed

So got it now and it's fitted so bikes good to go again.

Carpark at port went from 3 campers when I left to go to shop to around 20 when I got back so I've moved a few km down the road and found a spot by the water .. .if I get left in peace it will do nicely for tonight

I saw it today and thought you might need some advice as to how to fit your tyre !!!! I ve never seen or heard of it being done that way and cant get my head around the science of it

Jades new toy she got for being a good girl at the market ....walked along nice didn't bark at other dogs even the big staffie that was eyeing her up for lunch.

I wondered what she was finding so fascinating out the window and then when I looked again the couple walking on the beach had a cat with them that was just following along not even with a lead .....clever puss.

It's a white cat so it's hard to see but if you look up from the dashboard vent it's almost directly in line with that.

It is common practice in Iceland & other cold places when the mud pluggers come off the rims. splash with petrol or butane ,light & job done.

I hope Jade is more then 3 months - otherwise I think you may have a dog bigger than you thought. She seems to have grown quite a bit since you started posting pics of her.

I am glad it is all still going well.

Geoff
It's her Great Dane and Greyhound genes coming out (y)
