I'm giving the second part of that a funny but the first part is a little worryingEven if you or she gets within 6" of them they also have the ability to 'fire' the tiny body hairs apparently.
Coming in contact causes acute swelling which is why with animals & small children it can be life threatening.
My friend lives in Orihuela & found an odd one on the patio- picked it up & deposited in hedge ,then went for a wee. Wife said she never seen it that swollen in all their married life & the hospital were in hysterics.
