Tam, Jade and Franky's European Adventure

Just missed you we are now at Camping Los Madriles the other side of town.We like the terraced aspect and the large thermal swimming pool used all year round.

Doesn't look much better then :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

We stopped on there a few years ago with a caravan, we are basically camp site users but that site was far too crowded for us. To be fair the pitches near to the beach are in a good location but the chances of getting on of those is quite remote.

I have seen pictures of caravans floating about in the sea there when the rambla flooded but can't find them now.

Tam, in Bolnuevo, on the landward side of the main street, there is a shop called" Secundo mano" (second hand) they always have a good selection of English books if you need any reading material. I think they have dvd's as well.

Aye it looks a bit shanty town to me not like my nice spacious spot overlooking the sea.

Yeah I saw that I planned to have a look in it tomorrow as I arrived here quite late.
Don't need any books though as I've got kindle unlimited and going through a book every 2 day or so just now lol.

But i always like a gander in these places

Wonder if he'd buy my twin tub ha ha

Is that a campsite???!!! Looks awful - certainly one to miss I think!

It's not that bad really especially the larger pitches with water & drainage near the beach - its location is great - in the village, by the beach and on the bus route to Murcia, Cartagena and Puerto Mazarron - we are on site there at the moment :)

That looks a nice spot

I've just met @Teuchter I think that's the site he's on too

The site @mojo is on is Los Madriles between Isla Plana & La Azohia a lovely site about 9 miles from Bolnuevo - I am at Camping Playa Mazarron the one in Bolnuevo village.

Nice to meet you tonight Tam - enjoyed our chat :)

Well my legs ate all scratched and chibbed to bits after that bike run lol

Came back and big Dutch dethleffs parked up next to me their awning out 2 chairs and a table with Ice bucket etc. .

So I lied I told them someone had been fined 300€ yesterday for being outside with chairs

I'm not ashamed ....im fed up of folk being moved from parking spots because folk can't walk over the 50 yards and go sit on the beach.

Doesn't matter what the authorities do there will always be some people who don't think it applies to them :banghead:
To be honest I don't understand it there's a massive deserted beach just accross the road it's not even a 2 minute walk ...why can't they take their chair over there?
Anyway they must have taken offence as they packed up and left and there's a new one here now

Here at the camperstop there's a picnic area with a gazebo, tables and chairs and a barbeque. No-one ever uses it. It's a minutes walk away from their motorhome.

There's also an area to play petanque. If anyone gets off their ar@e to play, they do so in the roadway near to their motorhome!!! and everyone else's motorhomes!

In fact the picnic/petanque area is becoming the dog walk

Great comment Tam - we had a coffee this morning at the cafe in front of you and to the right (at the corner of the big open space you are on) and Mrs T remarked on how well behaved your neighbours were - all parked with decent spacing and no tables, chairs etc. in view!

We are off to Aranjuez on Friday :)

I get the no table and awning bit but what's the point in stopping somewhere and not being able to sit outside ?

We might have to sit inside in the UK most of the time............... but surely not in Spain.........that's the point in being there................sunshine

.....it's on the OUTSIDE................;)

Sitting outside on your camping chairs is (in law) considered camping not parking and can often be the "trigger" for the Police to move people on (particularly if a resident has complained) so it is prudent not to use your chairs close to your van.

in the case Tam mentions there is a fantastic beach within 200 yards of the vans!

View across the road from where the vans are parked
