Tam, Jade and Franky's European Adventure

Yes,we picked it up in December from Drysdales in Perth. I don’t have any pics of everything in with the 690 but it doesn’t take me more than 5 minutes to remove everything to get the bike out, pushbike either side of the proper bike. The tailgate on the Frankia is a real bonus.
Yeah I like the tailgate it's very handy.

Stunning waves here today it's a shame I don't know how to upload videos to here.

Met another furry friend too. ..lovely colours

Here is the parking sign .Seems ok to park.Police cars up and down the street but not bothered .Second pic shows the parking spot if you look carefully in to the distance.View attachment 219429 View attachment 219430
That sign is actually really confusing , the top one looks to say no tents or caravans ...bit the bottom one isn't a restricted sign but still has a caravan on it ...so if a caravan is only parked ie still hitched with no steadies down it should be ok.

Have to say I've had no bother where I've been parking, there is always police drivebys but only in valencia did any say to move and even then he just asked me to move the van every 24 hours even if it was only a few hundred yards up the road. As long as not sat on the same spot.

I'm kind of glad there's not been any other motorhomes parked overnight in this carpark I'm in just now....ive been the only one here last night and tonight , I think the boy racers keep them away but they bugger off around midnight so I've no issue with them :)

In fact,a caravan with car did park up a few nights ago.Stayed hitched and left in morning.I assume one sign says no indication of camping such as chairs, laundry, cooking outside, etc. The second indicating parking for us in this area only.
This will be our third and last night in the same spot.Hopefully will not be asked to bump along the line.Sunday lunch booked followed by live music outside the Blues bar.Told this is a lively afternoon each Sunday.
Feeling sorry for the just opened beach shack,I can see him from our spot and no customers yesterday or so far today.
Will buy a drink on way up to lunch.

Defo been keeping me entertained an thinking one day.;)

After the band practice this morning i went and done the tourist bit in cartagena.
The old Roman theatre is being restored and there's a viewing platform you can walk out to see it ...have to admit I was crapping it walking on that as it moved and the aluminium floor was unattached at places.
Some interesting trees with really amazing roots on them. Another band in full costume had a parade down one of the main streets so followed that for a bit and then down to the harbour. Some lovely buildings around and lots to see. Lots of restaurants too so I'm thinking I may go out for dinner tonight.
Thankfully when I got back to franky the mad dutch people had moved their vans to the other side of the carpark so peace is restored for now.

looks a nice spot where is that ?

Bolnuevo near Mazarron - there are about 20 MoHos "wilding" in the open space across the road from the beach cafe shown in the photo.

No camping signs etc but the police don't seem to be bothered at the moment

I'm moving along there today for a day or two so hopefully they don't have a kick out lol. I've been to the aire this morning replenenished tanks emptied waste and now doing my laundry and a bit of shopping.
I want to return to cartagena on Friday for the start of semana Santa so this place looks a nice stop gap for a few days.

Well after a busy morning doing laundry shopping and van servicing I have finally arrived at bolnuevo.

Seems alright so far ...theres a few vans here but we'll spaced out not overcrowded no one out on chairs etc so all is good

And the sun is out ...what more can you ask for.

After being turned out of the car park in town at Pensicola, near the fishing quay, even though we had a valid ticket and we were parked in a marked bay, not a coach bay, we took a look at where you parked for night. We didn’t want to overnight in car park just use to visit the town. Couldn’t see any signs prohibiting campers. Police came round about 3 pm and gave us a warning.

Unfortunately, although lovely, your overnight stop just too exposed today with the wind blowing a hooley. Felt unsafe.

Yup - thats the one - a cycle ride to Puerto Mazarron is worth while - only about 2 or 3 miles from where you are parked - also if you turn right out of your spot and go over the hill to the next bay it is lovely (providing its not raining) steep hill though!! ;)
