Tam, Jade and Franky's European Adventure

Was 30c today in Saint Remy de Provence, even hot riding the motorbike. ;)

Parked up for the night here :)

It's like a little fisherman's village where you Can get fresh oysters and mussels straight of the boats, lots of these wee huts were like bars lol ....loads of locals sat outside them having a drink.

Quiet secluded spot to stay with the camper

Happy travels Tam

We are currently 68 miles from you at a place called Montilivet, but on a huge campsite.Strange our paths cross again but we are headed south again. So thanks for that spot we will probably stop there for a night on Wednesday.
Have a safe journey home.

Yes there's a few heading south as I'm heading north ...makes me kind of sad actually....the last few months seem to have flown in.

Part of me is looking forward to going home
Worried about mum and I miss a few friends etc ...but part of me is sad that my adventure is nearly over and I didn't find whatever it was I was looking for.
But I'm still undecided for the future ....will see how things pan out.

When you find what it is you'r looking for don't forget to tell Bono.

If you didn’t know what you was looking for, how do you know if you didn’t find it..?

Did you discover what it was? But still didn’t find it
I think it still lies in gran canaria
But if I decide to go there I think I need to do it without a van.
But I'm back there in January for a week's holiday so if I still feel the same this time who knows:)

You found Jade

It's a rather refreshing 13° here this morning in Rochefort we've just been for a walk alongside the stream where we are parked ( not very picturesque) where jade met this huge big dog that scared the life out of her .....and me for a bit as it looks dangerous but was actually very friendly .....but biggest dog I've seen it's head was twice the size of jade and the owner said it weighs 89kg:eek:

It was like a bear but jade wouldnt go near it
She kept squeaking and running away lol

Heading to la Rochelle today

Scary!
I wonder what it was, maybe a mastif,I knew one once that was enormous, owner said it weighed 17 stone.

It was actually a big softy it kept bouncing against me wanting petted but nearly knocking me over ....seriously heavy at that weight ...i weighed less than that 18 months ago ha ha.
Not sure what kind but it's head was like a great dane but fatter. Had those big slavery jaws ...but very short hair and solid muscle on the body ..it stood waist high to me

Sounds like a French Mastif, look frightening but more chance of being licked and slobbered to death.

Just like that one. ...as I said very friendly but also very intimidating ...jade was having none of it

Right I have a question
Trying to book tunnel for me on the 1st October and it says on the booking screen that vehicles fitted with lpg cannot use the tunnel

Now all your vans have got lpg so how does that work?

That’s lpg powered. LPG for cooking etc is fine. You will be checked to see if you’ve switched off before the train. (y););)

I wonder what the difference is really surely it poses the same threat if any.

But anyway that's fine I'll just turn them off fridge will be fine for an hour.

Thats expensive , I went Calais to Dover Saturday DFDS for £95 , and thats with 12mtr RV ! , nearly had a couple of extra passengers !
https://www.motorhomefun.co.uk/forum/threads/mosel-meet.177058/page-44
The ferry is only £102 last time I used it was 4 years ago and it was £50
That said it was £96 last week

But I'm using the tunnel because I have jade

I tried booking direct and it was over £200 and would only let me book up to 8 metres online.

With that direct ferries it's £145 for a 8.5 metre van up to 3.5 metre high. So I just booked that

It certainly is. I just had a quick look and its £118- on the eurotunnel site.
Not for an 8.5 metre van up to 3.5m height and a dog it's not.
I was quoted over £200 direct for an 8 metre van online

You are definitely on the wrong site, size doesnt come in to it for motorhome , can be as big as a bus still one price
