Tam, Jade and Franky's European Adventure

Not a very interesting day today not done a lot except drive and go doggy walks.
Parked up for the night now here in oninon.

This town is like 90% caravans lol

But I'm on a wee road next to the beach.

We didn't like Bilbao much either, but we stayed up the hill at the commercial aire, and it's quite nice around there. There's a car park next to the aire and the park which several vans used for overnighting. There's a good bar/restaurant close by, very popular with the Bilbaoans (or whatever you call people from Bilbao).

Long In my rear mirror now I'm about 45km from San Sebastian now. .Will spend the night there and in to France tommorrow.

Managed to fill up with diesel though at €1.11 which is about £1 a litre so that's a result )

I'd diesel up again before you hit France, its anywhere around mid 1.40s, think the cheapest we found last week was 1.38. Though paying that price will get you used to Uk prices as they seemed high to me.

Aye if it's still as cheap I'll top it up before I cross the border but probably won't have used that much to get there.

Portugal was dear too between 137 and 146 :(

So I've driven along to " san vincente de la barquera" I'm just on the outskirts as I drove through it and it's a typical Sunday and absolutely mobbed so the couple of parking places you could get a motorhome on are full of cars. Hopefully clear out later and I'll get parked down in the town.
Going to head to torrelavega Tommorrow and hopefully pick up a couple of sets of brake pads for franky....and some food shopping ...and maybe a haircut :p

So in the meantime here's the few pics I took on route from "Arenas de cabrales" to here and my current view from where I'm parked just now which is quite impressive View attachment 254207 View attachment 254212 View attachment 254218 View attachment 254220 View attachment 254221 View attachment 254222 View attachment 254223 View attachment 254224 View attachment 254225 View attachment 254226

You have the right time. Don't need to change until you get back to UK now.

Yep it's only Portugal that's different in Central Europe.
That's what threw me as I remember having to change it but then I couldn't remember which was the odd one out ha ha

Portugal time is the same as U.K. time. All year.
Only difference is that the Portuguese take no notice of what the time is,unless it’s when they want to go to lunch.

Love the picture of Jade, even before I scrolled a bit further and saw the reason for her interest!
