So we are here for tonight in saint Paul les dax

Just been for a walk around the lake ...llvely warm sunny day today. Loads of motorhomes around here mostly French I think I'm the only foreigner ..
Can't understand a bloody word

Yes she likes the limelight lol.

I don't know cause she's never been in a house....that said she might not be in one much as I will probably stay in the van in mum's drive ha ha ....

Jeeso I forgot how the French like to cuddle

I deliberatly picked a spot away from the herd and I now have 6 bloody vans around me.

3 of which have the chairs oot and bbq going in the intermarche carpark Oh Please!

I'm sure they are all swingers or something

Morning

Lovely bright sunny day here but jees it's cold this morning. .my arms and legs are all goosebumps but I'm reluctant to put on long trousers just yet.

I'm in a quandary as to where to go next..

Part of me want to go to bordeux to see the cathedral etc and part of me wants to avoid cities like the plague.

We're baking in the MH in Kent atm :sun: but it was bleddy cold here when we got up.

There is a Funster holiday happening at a site called Twin Lakes which is close to Bordeaux, you can get the train into Bordeaux via a "taxi" from the site. There is a thread on the forum for it, look it up. I know you don't do sites but it could serve a purpose for you and you could meet up with some lovely funsters (and there's a bar on site). You can just turn up, we did a couple of years ago.
 
If you do go to Twin Lakes there will probably be a funster (it is a funster meet) who will look after Jade while you spend the day at Bordeaux.
Last year while I was there, I looked after someone’s dog while they went out for the day.

Should come east to the Med. it’s been gorgeous here at Gruissan for a couple of weeks and shows no sign of changing.
Might be a bit of a detour on your way north though.

It's warm now. .I'm sweltering was just early this morning I could feel the change.

I've stopped for lunch at biscarrosse near a big lake ...we've had a cycle/ run up the cycle path so jade is now lying out sunbathing while I make lunch.

Still not sure about bordeux I've been before a few years back so it's not like I've not seen it and everytime I go in to big cities I wish I hadn't lol.

So will see where I end up tonight

There’s an aire in a woodland by the beach in Biscarrosse, but it’s 8 euros. The beach is beautiful. Was there a few weeks ago.

We went up to Lacanau after. The beaches there are just as good.

Yes I think I'm quite near it but too early to stop for the night yet. Will go a bit further up yet

There’s a cycle ride from the lake to Biscarrosse town from the lake through the woodlands on a tarmac track. It’s superb, very up and down.

Yeah I'm parked next to it we did a little bit of it through the woods so jade could get a good run

Hope you’ve been to La Champlite,if they are still there. Best moules frites in France.......maybe the world!:)

Sorry, don’t do fish, especially shellfish.
Now, if you can find me a decent steak in France that would be a result. (y):D:D

I am still in shorts and a t shirt here in sub tropical Derbyshire,,,,Just back from a nice long walk,,lovely weather,,,Scottish softies,,,,BUSBY:D2:D2:D2
 
Stopped at Sanguinet on the way down - 10€
very basic but quiet in the woods by the lake.

Past Bordeax I stopped at the Aire at Chatelaine sur Plage, again 10€ but with electric - more like a mini site, card to get in
Not easy to find
