Tam, Jade and Franky's European Adventure

But if she has to wear one of those "lampshades" to stop her chewing her stitches she probably won't think much of that!
We had a lampshade in case , but she didn't even try to pull at the stitches . She had a couple of sniffs , but when told no , she was brilliant(y).

Lola went to a local Totana vet. Her wound was a tiny area and she didn't notice it. Didn't need a lampshade. Hope Jade's is the same.

Haha pregnant father syndrome!!!

Probably an insect bite or sting
Probably I'm just paranoid about these bloody caterpillar things as she's very sniffy and inquisitive and spends hours just pottering about outside

Might be the same vet ...sylvia is meeting me in this hotel carpark all very mysterious lol

Some years ago a collie bitch of mine had to have a ceasarian op. She was stitched afterwards with self -dissolving stitches, they dissolved but the wound hadn't healed and her innards spilled out on the floor!
I scooped them up in a clean tea towel, wrapped her around with gaffa tape and drove like crazy the 15 miles to the vets. Scary!!
She had a second minor op,was stitched again with non-dissolving stitches and made a full recovery.
Between that and rearing 8 pups whilst wearing a lampshade I'm not sure which of us was nearest a nervous breakdown!

:( well I must have misunderstood that conversation with Silvia as I didn't get to go

She's collected jade here at the hotel and says I have to stay here and she will be back around 8pm

I wanted to go ..poor jade will be thinking all sorts , she's bound to have recognised Silvia and maybe thinks I've given her back as she was put in a cage in the van :(

Poor girl

Pobre Tam!!!

Stay on here whilst you're waiting. Or go for a bike ride on the canal or something.

Sylvia is a doctor she'll be good with your Jade.

Jade may be a little anxious, but she will be excited at being close to other dogs. When she comes back to you she will be so happy everything else will be forgotten

Tam I think she is after nicking your dog , "Or go for a bike ride on the canal" , dont fall for it you may have new chain but it hasnt got floats :D @jumartoo @Northernraider

Good luck Tam, we had Millie done a few weeks before we came away, she was very sleepy for the first 24hrs and then slowly went back to her old self. The hardest part was trying to stop her jumping on the sofa or stairs for a few weeks.

We also used a baby grow with a hole cut out for her tail, worn with the poppers on her back so she couldn't get to her stichies...not that she was bothered about them after day 2.

She will feel your love as you look after her and won't bear you any illwill. Back to normal super fast I expect.

I’m sure it will all go fine ... probably best you’re not there ... anxious parent syndrome and all that :D2. She’ll be back to herself before you know it.

And I thought caterpillar too when I read your post!

I just had two scumbags try to break in to my van. .while I was in it.
Parked in this hotel carpark while I'm waiting on jade to come back so I was lying in bed reading in the back of the van

I heard 2 bangs and then the front door being tried ...then a couple of voices and just as I got through the door that shuts of the back of the van I heard the habitation door open
It wasn't locked as I'm in the van ....
The look of sheer horror on the guys face when I came out the van was a picture they ran and jumped in to a black vw gold and took off out the carpark. ..

I've no doubt they were on the rob

They probably knew your big ferocious guard dog wasn't in the van.

Is Jade back yet? Sorry to hear about the guys trying to get into the van, glad you scared them off.

That's not good although a one off it gets worried when it might happen again.

Probably thought you were in the hotel for the night.

Yes got jade back around 9 ....didnt want to stay in that carpark so moved and I'm now on an aire in mula for the night.
Jade is still a bit woozy from the anaesthetic but otherwise okay ..she slept all the way up here. Just had her out for a wee etc and she's curled back up asleep

Think I'm in her bad books and she's off her food too buy hopefully perked up in the morning.

Aye I reckon so ...the carpark was pretty empty so I think they were just chancing it

Decided not to stay there though

@mitzimad

Sorry to hear about the robbers Tam, not surprised you've moved. Hope you both have a good night.

Glad you've got Jade home Tam, she'll be brighter in the morning.
I hope the two of you have a good night's sleep as you've both had a stressful day.
