Tam, Jade and Franky's European Adventure

I had heat/sun stroke once all I wanted to do was lie down & close my eyes.
I also had a weird thing once, we had bought some French macaroons, I had 3 then had to go to bed felt awful, room spinning, felt sick, eyes wouldn’t work it was like, I would imagine, a bad trip would be!
Took all night to wear off, never touched them again!
Anyway,Tam, rest and fluids, if all else fails you’ll have to find someone/taxi to go to a Pharmacie!

Sounds like what I had when in Germany a couple of years a go, throwing up all night every time I stood up fell over dizzy, good news was it only lasted a day or two.

Well I'm only just starting to feel a little better I've lay on the sofa in the van all day with my largest pot next to my head lol.

Nothing in my stomach to bring up so I've been heaving bile most of the time but it stopped around 3pm ....havent been brave enough to eat anything yet I did try to make a cup of coffee but threw up again before I coukd drink it so didn't bother.
I've been sick many times but have never experienced that really fast room spinning thing before.
I think at a guess it's been some sort of food poisoning or something but no idea.

Bloody backs killing me too cause I've been lying funny and poor jade is looking fed up as we haven't had a walk today.

Luckily where I'm parked i was able to just leave the door open and her long leads on so she could go in and out as she pleased.

Hopefully what ever it is has buggered of but I'll let you know once I've finally eaten something

Hate being ill I'd planned to move again today but the day has flashed by



I did wonder if I'd been gassed but nothing's missing :p

Well that was short lived....didnt even get a chance to eat something and I'm back to wretching ...and all I have in me is water.

Feel like death again
 
Bloody 'ell Tam, just try to sip very small amounts of water and I hope you'll feel better tomorrow. If not a visit to the Centro Salud could be on the cards.

I hope Jade doesn't catch it!

I actually once contracted legionella (legionnaires disease) some years ago - got it whilst working in Malaya in a brand new hotel that had not treated the water system!!

It is extremely debilitating - high temperature fatigue aches & pains everywhere and lapsing into periods where you actually start hallucinating - it is HORRIBLE!!

At first I was diagnosed with Malaria and treated for that but got much worse so I was transferred to an Isolation room, tested for about a grillion diseases including hemorrhagic fevers, dengue fever, HIV, etc. etc. and everyone including doctors & nurses had to wear gown & masks to enter the room - eventually I was found to be infected with the Legionella bacteria and prescribed antibiotics but by that time I was already beginning to feel better!!

No dizziness though but I have had the room spinning on occasions after having imbibed too much of the amber liquid:cautious::(:sick:
 
Perhaps it’s the water. If I get bad guts I drink Coca Cola (classic) and it clears up.
If it was sunstroke I think it would have passed by now.
If it was benign positional vertigo it probably wouldn’t have caused as much wretching.
Try and increase fluid intake,buy bottled mineral water.
I’m not a doctor.
 
Try and keep your fluids up Tam . Eat toast or plain rice if you can . You might be better sleeping propped up if you can get to sleep. Hope your feeling better soon.

you did post about a palava with toilets and filling up yesterday, i wouldnt be drinking anymore water out of your tank till you are sorted.

I never drink the water out the tank these days , I buy bottled water for drinking and only use the tank for washing up and showering etc.

It could well be jade that's given me something lol she is a very licky kissy dog so there's every possibility


Either way I still feel yeucccchh and haven't managed to eat anything as yet ...hopefully be a bit better in the morning
 
If you’re not better soon Tam you should try to get some of those electrolyte drinks cos your salts balance will have gone to pot ... as said just take wee sips and try to sleep your way through it

You need to keep hydrated..take tiny sips of plain boiled water and take them often..you will soon be as to regulate how much you can sip before having a reaction..hope you feel better soon
 
If you can get some ‘full fat’ Coke Cola knock the bubbles out of & drink plenty-not cold!
Doc once told me it has all you need for a dodgy tum.
