Tam, Jade and Franky's European Adventure

Feeling a little better today managed to have some cereal and half a cup of coffee this morning but tasted funny :( horrible taste in my mouth and everything tastes creamy even plain water yuk.

Had a wee walk along beach with jade and then a shower ...still feel a bit dodgy but I've moved up to Seville this morning. Thumping headache so taken a couple of paracetamol with some fruit juice and a wee slice of pizza
See if that shifts the headache .
It's quite cool and overcast up here so just going to chill out for a bit till headache has gone. I might leave visiting the town till the morning but will see how I feel.

You seem to be coming out the right end!!!

Crap English but you get the meaning

We were talking about you feeling bad.
Hubby gets migraines (I’ve had mild ones) but a bad migraine will make you dizzy, you can be throwing up and, of course, the thumping headache!
Don’t say-“oh, I don’t have migraines”-because I never thought I had them but living with a migraine sufferer has taught me I do get mild ones!
Hopefully you’ll feel better soon.
Hubby always knows now when an attack is coming-his eyes go first, a spoonful of sugar usually sorts it but the Nurofen/Ibuprofen liquid capsules are the quickest relief and a dark quiet place with your eyes shut!

@Northernraider its probably something you picked up in the Holyhead Road :)

Thing is I never had the headache till I was driving up from sanlucar to Seville this morning but thankfully the paracetamol have done the trick and I'm fine now. ..had a wee cycle around Seville ...what a beautiful city and probably my favourite so far.

Perhaps you have altitude sickness!!!!!
:D
Hubby reckoned he had it this morning as he had a nose bleed!

So jade and I had a cycle round the city of sevilla today ....what a beautiful city it is with some stunning buildings and ongoing architecture really pretty and I would highly reccomend a visit

The palace in your first few pic, go back there when it's dark it's all lit up looks brilliant.

Where are you staying?

Oh boy you are in for a rough night. That's where the kids gather with their boom boxes and drinking beer until the early hours.
We were on the expensive Aire (we had been warned about the FLT spot) about ½ mile along the road still got kept awake on a Friday night until 3am.

Yes there's 3 different spots round here all mention kids n music

But it is how I met that French student in Cadiz ha ha:p

Hope you have some good ear plugs, boy was it loud.
To be fair there's 38 reviews on this spot and none mention loud music so it might be a different one.
I know the 2 I looked at before this one mentioned guys in cars etc but this one mostly says quiet night.
So here's hoping

Thanks I'm glad your enjoying it ....dont know how informative it's been though ha ha I'm generally just stumbling my way around the country, I've no idea how to do a proper blog so Its mostly pics and just day to day ramblings but I'm glad folk are enjoying it and having the blether on here does help me from feeling lonely now and then ha ha.

Haven't found any orange sellers in Seville but there's a lot of very attractive people here ha ha ......and the flamenco dancers are pretty awesome to watch.

P.s that's a cracking looking van in your avatar

Happy to say I didn't have any bother with the boy racers last night thankfully and quite a peaceful night.

Not sure if I want to gamble on a second one though so I might move on today as I think I've seen most of Seville

Yes we picked it up in may with the hope of getting away in April but unfortunately we have been delayed but after the royal highland show in June we are on the road and don’t need to be back till the end of September.

I buggered of from Seville this morning and I'm in zahara de la sierra at the minute just having a wee sandwich then we shall go for a look around town. There's a castle way up the hill so if I can force jade to drag her bum up there we can go for a looksee.

What a nice wee town this is and a lovely walk up to what I thought was a castle but is just an old Roman tower but still very picturesque and a lovely view. Although that being a manmade reservoir below it's probably a much nicer view now than when the Romans built the tower

What's the temperature there at the moment raider? I've been meaning to ask how you manage your cash over there. By that I mean did you take a hillock of euros with you or do you use your card for most stuff?

Last time I was over in Spain I paid for most stuff with card and then came home to silly charges for every transaction. Only a quid or so but it adds up after a while.

My flat goes on the market on Monday so fingers crossed should get travelling in a month or so. Just waiting for an appointment to get an injection in to my spine  for back pain (as I can't walk for more than 5 minutes at the moment with out my right leg seizing up) then I am good to go. Your blog/ramblings have been a great help.

When I was in Iceland in Feb, I used my Metro Bank card for all my "cash" spending, no foreign currency at all...
They don't charge fees or commission - and the amounts & rates show up as pending on the app very quickly [sometimes within minutes] so no nasty surprises...

Glad to see you're feeling a little better Tam - great pics as ever - still just a phone camera?

Today in zahara it was 28° and about the same in Seville yesterday ....nights are starting to get uncomfortable now even with the spotlights open time to take the duvets off and just have the cover I think.

I use my Halifax clarity card as there's no charges for using that in euros.

I can also withdraw cash with that and then I just imedietly transfer it over from my current account online.

So no charges whatsoever
