Tam & co the great winter escape

It did get a bit warmer this afternoon but didn't feel that warm because of the wind.
The wind finally relented so went down the beach with my daughter & grandkids & paddleboard.
Luckily I'd finished paddling and on the beach when that squall & rain came through.

Not impressed I want some hot weather.
Bizarre! I absolutely love hot weather but I'm done with it now. Dying for some rain and cool as I'm so bored stuck indoors. Too hot in the garden. It was 29 at 9am! I think you need to move a few miles!

Alright for some, my north facing sensor has got up to 32° but with the wind still doesn't feel that hot.
Stop complaining! 😄

We've only got 19 degrees at best in Ireland, today it's been more like 14 with a breeze so coat weather although I am still wearing my slip-on 'flop' sandals, like flip flops but without the toe bar, as I'm refusing to admit defeat.😎

I was prompted to do some research on West Wemyss after seeing your photos Tam. The derelict white building where the dogs are posing so beautifully is the old Harbourmaster’s House and the owners were forced to abandon it nearly 20 years ago because the cliff behind it was considered to be in imminent danger of collapse. Both are still standing. There have been several planning applications to build in that area and make the cliff safe, but they’ve never come to anything.
I really enjoyed my motorhome trip around that area a few years ago but I somehow overlooked Wemyss which is surprising because I have an interest in Wemyss Pottery.
BTW your motorhome looks fantastic and I especially like that you are flying the Ukrainian flag.

🤣 The flag isnt mine. Its on one of the lock ups behind the van.

But yeah i knew it was the harbourmasters house theres a few signs for it . Its apparently a tourist attraction.

The village doesn't have much to see really so you weren't missing much but theres nice coastal walks and a few ruins around worth a visit.

I fancy this spot too, is the road up very narrow? Seeing you have made it up there with your beast makes me think it must be okay!

Nah its fine . Theres a sign says maximum 7 ft 6 but i never seen anything that would cause an issue. Theres a few passing places too but you can easily pass a car on the road itself. Its a nice peaceful place with trails heading off in to the woods and hills. And at the minute its midgy free

Here's a strange one but there's a thread running just now about entry requirements to ireland from the uk and it seems they request the dog to be wormed for entry , yet no other eu country asks this ...its usually returning from the eu to the uk that its required and not the other way round.

Im going cairnryan to belfast where its apparently not enforced just now so i wont bother anyway but it seems weird that you can go uk to France or spain and not require worming but ireland and ni because of brexit requires it 🤔

NI require nothing for entry, they don't even bother asking for human passports.
Dogs just get a belly rub off the guy who looks in you bathroom for stowaways.
As for RoI, no idea but they do like to make things up as they go along, just to be different.
That's going in both directions
