Tam & co the great winter escape

Even so!

UK vets, and now Dublin vets absolutely take the piddle!

I've had stuff done in Spain for less than 200 euros that UK vets quoted £600 for, before their habit of adding bits on. The vet rocked up to the front door in a battered old Renault Clio, he was probably mid 30's. You would be struck off in the UK if you weren't driving a Porsche by your mid 30's!!

Jees Tam, the best part of a 1000 euros! The world has truly gone mad.
Yeah thats crazy prices. Ill wait till im around Murcia region i think and get them done there.

Another little job completed.

Loose wobbly step sorted and matts fitted

It gets a lot of rain!!! They don’t call it the Emerald Isle for nothing. Spent my honeymoon there in Aug 65 and it rained nearly every day!!!

Carol
Good job you were on your honeymoon then.😄😄😄😙BUSBY.

Well im going in September...but unless its very small ill be there till late November then back to uk heading to tunnel . I originally planned to go from cork to Santander but cant find any ferries for that time with dog cabins etc .. so it looks like ill have to come back to engerland then go over channel .
Why not go straight to France from Eire https://www.irishferries.com/

Tam, this Vetenario is the business, they are extremely reasonable with costs and will do the Titre Tests at a price that you will not get better anywhere. There is a good spacious Camperstop in the Town - Jalon/Xavia that costs €5 per night collected daily by the owner, it’s gated so the Dogs can have a good run without escaping. Nest door to Supermarket.

.

A few things to check:
Eire and the South of Ireland are the same place for your information.
There are no shortage of Ferries to France. Irish Ferries from Dubin to Cherbourg. Stenaline from Rosslaire to Cherbourg. Brittany Ferries from Cork to Roscoff. The price of getting on and off the island of Ireland both North and South will make your eyes water. Also worth checking as the South of Ireland/Eire is in the EU, spending 2 months there will eat into your ninety days!!

Im aware Eire and south Ireland is the same place 😉 but they dont like being called south ireland. Just Ireland ...its the north thats the breakaway.

Ive checked ferries to both roscoff and santander and for the dates i want they both return the same zilch when i have 3 dogs traveling with me.

To get a return from Liverpool to dublin is £446

To go cairnryan to larne is £149 and £200 to return dublin to Liverpool.

Eire whilst being in the EU is not in shengen so it is not included in the 90 day rule. ....thats why im going there for 2 months before i go to spain for 3 minus travel time through france.

If i get the dogs blood tests done i will do 6 weeks in eu then 1 or 2 months in Morocco and back for another 6 weeks in EU. 😁

Only trying to help. certainly don’t require a history lesson on Ireland as you don’t on Scotland. Good luck whatever you do.

I’m not totally sure but don’t think the Liverpool ferries allow pets so do check please…
I only get a message on the ones going to france and spain saying no pets. The stenaline ones between uk and Ireland are ok .

Dogs staying in the camper anyway

Im thinking of removing this highly complex water filtration system that someone fitted in here. Mostly because i can never get the thing to work anyway ...tried turning all the taps all ways and i get no more than a trickle of water from it . So anyone any idea what these things are worth? Gonna stick all the bits on gumtree. Gain space and maybe a few quid

Hi Tam, you probably just need a new filter
I never use it so its getting removed. It shows zero pressure on the wee guage and doesn't matter how long i leave it running it does nowt.

Cannae be bothered with these complicated space taking things.

I think a simple inline filter to the kitchen tap would have done. I never put stream water or anything in my tank anyway. So not sure what purpose it serves.

Had a look on ebay and its about £130 for this thing . So might get a bit back for it. And some underseat storage 😁
