Tam & co the great winter escape

I've never seen it from that angle. I always used to come up that little lane from the car park towards your rally field so everything was on the right of me. You know the lane I mean, it's the one where all the campers go down in the morning to use the Visitor Centre toilet facilities :giggle: dead obvious, people walking down with towels rolled up under their arms and whistling :whistle2:

He took the van down to Carsingt water car show today, not comeback yet but deff got another converted trailer arrive but not done anything with it ye.
photo proof of trail so no p**s😊View attachment 634938
Enjoy the rest of your stay there. Do you know about the circular walk from the rally field which takes you through the fields and across the Dam wall and back to your field?

gus-lopez just for research purposes have you any idea of the cost of titre test for dogs near you? And how long they take?

And does anyone know if titre tests done in Eire would be legit in an EU passport?

Not wanting to go down to greece again this winter as ive been the last 2 but id still like to sort out these tests for future travel ... Turkey and Maroc etc
We got quoted £ 170 in Lockerbie.

Titre test.
‘our vet told us the the certificate for the test was life long , if the dog was treated for rabies ( injection) without a gap. If the Jabs lapsed the Titre test had to be done again.
Have you priced it up locally?
There is a lab that does the blood test it in Edinburgh I think, that could be an alternative, we have 2 dogs that need it, so interested In the process.

When we took our dog to Ireland to get a EU passport, ( which worked great into France and back) I asked the vet about a Titre test, she didn’t know and then sent a long time looking it up, and Decided that the blood was sent to Scotland to be tested.

titre tests as you may know are required for travel from a number of areas outside the EU. if Tam has the test done by a non EU lab and entered in the EU pet passports the passports will be invalid for travel back into the EU from contries where the test is required example Turkey, Morocco.

When we could take our dogs to the EU years ago ( 2000) the dogs had the rabies jab, then a number of weeks later they had to be tested.
One of our dogs failed the test and we could not take her.
As it was only for 2/3 weeks it was fine.
However if you travel to Spain and the dogs fails the test, you then have other problems. 90/180.

Can't have it done in the uk as it wouldn't be valid on EU passports

as you know it could get the Vaccination and test again as long as its within the EU, vaccination plus 28 days i believe then new test.

edit; unless i am misunderstanding what you are saying

Does it actually have to be entered into the passport though or would just having the documentation to prove it be sufficient?

That may be acceptable.
But for info Our pet passport that required the test ( it was that long ago issued)
Had an entry specifically about the result of the test with signature and stamp.
By the vet that took the sample.

Talking of choice, just got out of a very big intermarche in France , jeeeeez they put any supermarket in the UK to shame……..
Very surprised we don't have intermarche and the like over here.

Cheap deal on carpet!!
Yeah the interior would need stripped and redone as i hate all that nasty lining carpet. But it has a lot of potential at that price. All windows are in etc and big garage for motorbike. And an uncomplicated merc engine

Changing already?

No doubt you’d get your money back as you’ve fixed the crap stuff. But do you have time. It’s ugly

Carol

No not changing just now ...just looking at future possibilities if this one doesn't work out over winter. Ill see how it copes on my next trip.

How's Milo?
He's been totally fine since that last weird turn. Im just going to continue with the tablets till they are finished then im going to try him without them again and see if there are any more spells of him getting breathless etc and take it from there. Not sure how else to do it. Don't want to just continue giving him pills forever more than he may or may not need.

Tart…..not you Tam that hound is a tart. Great photo. (y)
She's become really pocky these days. Always coming for cuddles and she jumps right up and wants tummy tickles. Goes to everyone outside wanting pets too
