Different vaccine have different levels of time associated with them.Re rabies injection in the EU. I watched something the other night that says they need doing every year for EU passport (is it 3 years for U.K.?). Never had either as dogs not gone abroad but thought I would mention in case itβs relevant (or even wrong)
Okay thanks, never had to do it so didnβt know. Only mentioned it in case it had a bearing on Tam getting it done in Ireland or hereDifferent vaccine have different levels of time associated with them.
Hey-up Tam ... you've pulled! Oviously kidding as I don't think he could handle 2 more doggies!!!A friend has told me that Northernraider will be travelling to Spain in November and anyone is welcome to follow him. Its been my dream to drive to Spain but Iβm on my own and find it fear of the unknown. I like my own company but also like the company of others. I would love to know the route so I can just get up and go there whenever the mood takes me. I have two Yorkshire terriers who go everywhere with me.Fingers crossed.
We live in Spain, and we had our dog Rabies injection done in Javea just before we left for this trip and it's a 3 years vaccine and obviously a EU passport. Bob.Re rabies injection in the EU. Psssst .... I have to tell you this Tam ... but it gets cold in Ireland too ... are you trying to repeat the weather you had on your last trip.Sorry never noticed this .
I don't actually have a set route in mind , ill be crossing the channel end of November as ill be 2 months in Ireland first and heading through france over 2/3 days in to Spain.... probably by the most direct route unless there's snow causes diversion . I'll only have 90 days in EU this time so ill be heading south fairly quickly.
As it was your honeymoon I'm surprised you noticed! It gets a lot of rain!!! They donβt call it the Emerald Isle for nothing. Spent my honeymoon there in Aug 65 and it rained nearly every day!!!
Carol
Were you on honeymoon and never noticed ?Spent 2 weeks in Ireland north and south in May and never saw rain
Yep i don't expect the weather to be fantastic in Ireland. But going at this time would be like going to north Scotland, mobbed, full of kids , parking restrictions etc etc. So im going in September when its quieter. Then heading to Spain and a bit of Portugal for the coldest months December January February... Maybe check out some land in Portugal while im there. If i manage to get dogs titre tests done i may look in to going to Morocco for a month or 2 but will see.Psssst .... I have to tell you this Tam ... but it gets cold in Ireland too ... are you trying to repeat the weather you had on your last trip.
Well im going in September...but unless its very small ill be there till late November then back to uk heading to tunnel . I originally planned to go from cork to Santander but cant find any ferries for that time with dog cabins etc .. so it looks like ill have to come back to engerland then go over channel .November in Ireland he must be barking.
I might well get to Morocco IF i can get dog tests done. Although with the price of diesel etc its not guaranteed as im feeling the pinch. Work is getting quieter too .cross over to Morocco and drive down to South Africa, your followers will support you with lots of laughs
Get yourself to Morocco, it's only a few miles more from Spain but a bloody long way from ScotlandI might well get to Morocco IF i can get dog tests done. Although with the price of diesel etc its not guaranteed as im feeling the pinch. Work is getting quieter too .

That reminds me of the book, Round Ireland with a Fridge, or something along those lines, very entertaining, but he was on foot, not driving his fridge aroundas im going right round irish coast
