Tam & co the great winter escape

On this van the body isn't aluminium the hymer was but this is grp.

That said i don't want to leave the bolts in so i will try to fill with GRP filler. And then ill figure a way to discreetly cover them.

Fortunately they are in 2 straight lines so a wide pinstripe to match the original graphics would likely do the job.
Or, perhaps an easier option as it's on the rear, some red reflective tape across the back, as used on HGV trailers? Get the 3M brand ECE104 tape if you do, cheap on Ebay and it lasts well. I put some on the back of my van just to make it more visible at night, 8 years on and it still looks like new and reflects brilliantly.

Northernraider Tam, I think you have to expect some mental deterioration in elderly. They can become very cranky for no apparent reason.
All part of getting old I think, you just have to bite your lip and let them get on with it.
Lovin' the new van and very envious of the power station and that lovely dashboard 👍 The converter see to have made a great job of designing that

come on start a build thread. Perhaps we could design it by MHF poll!🤣🤣🤣

 Will a sneak preview do for now?

Will have a dropdown bed at the front as well.

Jeeso I couldn't get diesel in asda or tesco when i left home , then i hit a traffic jam on the Edinburgh bypass as there was a lorry fire , then its been constant roadworks all the way down the A1 , i gave up and had to stop for dinner and feed the dogs at scotch corner. Satnag says about 10pm by the time i get to Wissel

Absolutely loads of caravans and motorhomes on the road . Ive stopped waving as it's exhausting. If ive jot passed any members off here it just goes to show how many motorhomes on the road. Easily seen 100 probably twice that

Seems to be another fuel panic without the press stirring it up. No Diesel around here and both my diesel vehicles have the fuel lights on!

I believe its a Osmosis filtration system that provides crystal clear clean water, pretty much takes care of itself although the three filters that you can see need changing periodically. We have the same system fitted……but in a house.
Sorry to be pedantic, but its reverse osmosis.

Well what do you expect you are a right plonker going on the busiest day of the year on UK roads. No sympathy at all.:rofl:

Hope you have arrived safely Tam, we are at a Rally at Chester with people coming from all over and the roads are really busy everywhere.

Well i figured it would be better than driving down tomorrow. I hate the A1 its always a slow road. But i got here around 10.30.

How the new van going though.
It goes well , it seems to missfire a bit on steep uphills if you drop gear the EML comes on then goes off again. I suspect its the usual injector wire fault. Otherwise it goes fine

I just wondered if you'd asked your Mum whats wrong. There may be something on her mind that she doesn't want to tell you. Lots of Mum's don't like to worry their children - and it doesn't matter how old you are you're still hr child! It would be kind to ask her. Or maybe a femaile relative or friend could do it. Better than leaving it hanging in the back of your mind and hers.

Wissel and tam, your opinion on this one please?
