Tam & co the great winter escape

The pump associated with the HX is used only when you are seeking to pre-warm the engine using residual heat from the Alde radiators. It is not required when you wish to warm the van when driving to your destination as the engine water pump circulates the water to the Alde HX. To operate the heating in the rear when driving simply requires the selector switch on the control unit to be set to heating WITHOUT having gas/electric set as the heat source. This activates the Alde circulating pump as per normal use.

His motorhome doesn't have radiators. 😁 Bob.

What dya mean what does it do?

Its a backrest ....for resting your back on lol
There’s nothing underneath it to sit on

I haven’t seen that in an A class before only coachbuilt with seats underneath

Ill make a new one for it . Won't be same upholstery but that don't matter as my cushions are now all covered with throws

Lost track too many posts on this thread or my brains dying.
I don’t think so🤷‍♂️😁😁
Ok well after some fine negotiation i paid £26500 for it .

So another way of looking at it.

If you forget about the iveco, the caravan and the vario . I basically swapped the hymer for this one plus a grand.

So im happy with that.

Yes it needs some work doing to it to bring it up to scratch but i know i can do that anyway. I'll get all the jobs done before i head off for this winter coming.

That's knocked a few feet off the length of his future yacht! 😂😂

I think his modifications possibly put a few folk off. But then the videos he put on YouTube only had 5 or 6 views and that was mostly folk off here i think. So maybe there wasn't a lot of interest.

All the other ones i had on watch are still for sale. Maybe folk are wary this year with the rise in energy bills etc .

I was in a unique position

it may seem big but if you are full timing or taking on long trips like your last one i think its just what you need it has all you could want really

love the new wheels Tam, Northernraider great buy and i am sure will be the dogs bits when your done.

my only observation after following your recent travels is a simple question; will you be able to take similar routes and similar stop overs with this much bigger van.

That's the golden question.

Some places i went with iveco i wouldn't have taken the hymer never mind this. But i took the bigger frankia all around Spain and Portugal and never felt i missed anything

Love the van wishing you happy travels, contented travel companions, and few blips.

me too , unfortunately we need the blips to make the travels interesting & human

i’d love to be travelling , but other commitments are in the way just now

so I share your travels to keep me sane & feeling alive 🥺 , thanks for that

Looks brilliant for fulltiming, congratulations on your wise purchase. That water filtration system would turn p!ss into drinking water, stay off grid even longer. :giggle:
Don't give him ideas! He already wees in a bottle so it wouldn't take much for him set up an in-van inlet so he can wee into the tank instead!!! Probably without having to get out of bed! 😄

I'd do that too - but use stainless coach bolts whether you paint them or not.
Don't they recommend you don't use stainless fasteners in aluminium because of the galvanic reaction ? I think passivated bolts are the way to go, but I could be wrong and not for the first time !

This one isn't aluminium its grp compound panels. I might fill the holes and just add a couple of well matched coach line stripes along the back to hide it.

Tam why not pimp it up with a load of red reflectors where the bolts are, you could probably spell out your or the MH's name. 😊
