Tam & co the great winter escape

I love Renault 4s so youll find lots of pics of them in my travel threads. I'll buy one at some point once the vario is finished .

You get them in great condition throughout europe ...lots of patina but usually solid ..
Me to, I like the van version. (y)

Plenty Renault 4's round where I live in Spain, the old farmers seem to keep them going forever, also see the van version with the lift up panel above the rear door to allow carrying long loads. Will try and get some pictures sometime.

I wish I had now some of the cars I used to wash weekly on my car washing round with my mate, one was a Dauphine as above, plus the Sunbeam Alpines, even an Alvis. Trouble is it wasn't so much fine gravel at the bottom of the bucket when emptying....it was usualy paint flakes & rust.:giggle:

Not the same, but similar - some had the same engine as the Dauphine. Edit -same floorplan and engines as Dauphine.

In the town of porec now ....this is a popular tourist location in summer but its dead at the minute... which is a shame as its probably quite charming when all the restaurant etc are open and theres people about .... Lovely and warm today i had to lose the jumper milo has been in swimming again .

that does point to it running back? might well be the connection for the diesel heater underneath?

how is your sister now? Been meaning to ask but it keeps slipping my mind.

Sounds like a leakback problem , or common rail fuel pressure sensor , some diesels will have a start inhibit if pressure to high pressure pump is not sufficient to stop hp pump being damaged by lack of fuel (lubrication) . If you can plug in see what fuel pressure is pre start . Sorry dont know spec for iveco .
