Lovely just lovely Tam!!

Only 10 years till the kids are gone...
Kids are never gone. They are a life sentence!!!
☝️this 🥴 but the grandkids are lovely!

Well I'll be gone!!
which is why we have a motor home and a boat!

Sounds like a leakback problem , or common rail fuel pressure sensor , some diesels will have a start inhibit if pressure to high pressure pump is not sufficient to stop hp pump being damaged by lack of fuel (lubrication) . If you can plug in see what fuel pressure is pre start . Sorry dont know spec for iveco .
My mechanic (hubby) who had his own garage for 30+ yrs agrees with this diagnosis on the basis of your description, Tam, and says you need to get a non return valve fitted.

We are in the old harbour town of ravinj now ...its quite busy around the harbour area quite a few people about in the various restaurants ....a group of local old guys are sat around a table singing songs ....lots of boats coming and going . We had a walk up to the chirch off st euphemia which apparently has the largest bell tower on the istrian peninsula. Not so busy in this part in fact most of the wee streets are deserted . This is described on one Google site as the most romantic town in Croatia....im not sure about that but it does have a rustic charm about it . It was apparently an island at one point but they filled it in and joined it to the mainland

There are loads of them here i think ive seen around 10 in the last 2 days . I wonder if they are aware of value here or if one could be snapped up for a bargain price. There also seems to be quite a few of the seat version of the old fiat 500

Keep your eyes open for one of these Tam, its a Renault R10 1100. (See Below)
My girlfriend, later 1st wife bought one of these at my disgust at the time, well we had the car for 7/8 years, it was easy to maintain with rear engine, I even re-sprayed the damn thing from pitted/flaky silver to Black.
It went well on motorways, and in the end outlasted 3/4 of my cars & vans, I would have another one in a heart beat, it was so comfortable and reliable.
Enjoying your travels & pictures Tam, it looks warmer than it actually is I guess, but very picturesque none the less, plus you are showing Lenny the error of his recent ways. I reckon an FLT stewards enquiry should commence now he has returned, we need to get to the bottom of why he opened his wallet so frequently.

Looks great never seen one before

It's around 18° through the day and about 11 overnight at the minute ..t shirt weather but not shorts yet 😁.

I tho

I thought the same but thought it was a poo works😊
I reckon it is a poo works. No lids on the tanks is there? Also each tank is at a different level.

I cant be sure but I think they are sequence batch reactors (SBRs).

It is most definitely gas tanks I drove through the middle of them ...theres actually 2 similar to those only a mile away from my mums . They rise and fall depending how full or empty they are

I drove these as Huddersfield minicabs in 1968, along with Renault 8s )below). We had to weigh down the front boot otherwise they were apt to spin. I spun one my first week. Because the boot was full of weight we had to put any luggage on the roof rack. Agh - student holiday jobs - this was my best!

Very similar to the simca 1000 that my dad had ...he had a few simcas but my favourite was the rear engined 1000. He bought it for £30 in 1984 ...had it 2 years and sold it for £60

Them were the days 😁

The works Renault Rally team had Gordini versions in 1960s and the rear windows popped out as the vehicles landed after the yumps!

Hi Tam, great following your adventures. Just wondered how you find your spots to stop for a night our two. Is it all on SFS and C4N or google maps.
Trying to get the confidence to find and convince Kim that we will be safe.
Thanks
Don
