Tam & co the great winter escape

Its the wind up and down bit i thought was strange. It apparently makes a desk or something.
I suspect once the cushions are removed it raises up and flips/extends out somehow to provide a work surface - you can see some sort of mechanism below and an additional 'board' under the base cushions. As for the 2 black things on the back wall, they look like monitors which are probably making you think (as they did me) they are part of the desk itself. From the description of the MH it looks like the owner has done professional photography/drone work hence the need for a large working area rather than just using the dinette table and plenty of power.

Ive just been chatting to him on the phone basically he's removed the floor and lowered the benches down on to the sub floor so he can sit on a computer chair and be at window level 🤦‍♂️ . Ive asked him for more pics of all round that area as i would want to put it back to the standard floor level etc. I dont need an office there i just want the big comfy lounge or the ability to make it a fixed bed. Its in bury so a bit far to pop down to view it . But the massive power banks etc would be great. As would 1.1kw of solar lol. And its still only 8 metres which is the length of the vario with the motorbike rack on it.

They are a really nice van (Claira's parents have the same model except fixed rear bed).

This is the one in glasgow

He talks like a salesman

His point about finding one with lower miles is laughable ....both the other ones have half the miles of this one

I thought you wanted a fixed bed Tam no pull down?

The payload on that one will be non existent unless uprated I expect with all that gear on, all those batteries and solar, 8.1 metres at 4500 GVW.

It has oodles of space that's for sure .

The build quality is fantastic compared to most vans IMO. Plus the engine is more reliable and cheaper to fix than the later ones.

They used to swap vans quite often, this ones stayed for about 8 years and no sign of it being changed.

Like the Glasgow one as well (y)

Nothing is far for the right motorhome lol, but then I used to drive for up to 10 /12 hours a day, but the train is very comfortable too lol, cheap premier inn and sorted👍

I believe they have around 990kg payload to start with. Not sure how much would be left. But im also sure upgrading to 5.2 tonne is only a paper exercise. But id have to check.

I did want a fixed bed but i could possibly use the rear lounge that way by just leaving it made up or putting a mattress topper on top etc. And theres also the bed above cab.

I agree but it would mean driving down with the dogs and back up and then having to go back to collect it.

So id rather be sure it was what i wanted first off.

Photo's can be decieving

I guessed the floor had been lowered as it wouldn't have been built like that originally but I can't imagine it would take much to put it back as it was at the same level as the rest - with his using a computer chair what he did makes sense to give him a proper 'window' view whilst working. As it's not standard it won't appeal to many and any mods you make to it to suit your own 'bespoke' needs won't detract from the value as they could if you changed an original one plus I'm sure you should be able to negotiate a good price! (y)

Convert the lower floor to a Indoor lounge pool for warmer climes?:LOL:

Thats all the best storage he's lost by lowering that floor. I need that for all my tools etc .

That looks well tidy, except for the sunken lounge, but you'd soon have that sorted
I really like the dash for some reason

The A class in Bury every time for me (y)

BTW the car looks very good for the money, I can see your on the up after the dark place you were in just the other night.
Suprising how things can turn around in a short time, I can feel the relief of selling the Vario from here

Silly isn’t it, he possibly joined just to sell ?
£15/20 is cheap for such an advert

...but to be fair, he was briefly quite active over a range of topics.
And we don't know what has happened behind the scenes.
He certainly amassed a treasure trove of kit.
