Tam, I looked at a scooter at a good price for what it was, the advert came down the day after (Friday) as somebody must have bought “the bargain” it was back on again on the Monday afternoon, as the guy who left the deposit never told his wife, who informed him he wasn’t allowed to have it and under no circumstances come back into the house without the deposit refunded🤷🏼‍♂️ This could have happened with the van, another call to them will cost nowt👍👍
Yep ive sent another enquiry just in case but i suspect its just unethical advertising

Ian

Yeah he's on the vario group... Its a nice big van but im not sure it could go the places i like to go . Its very low and i imagine very slow

This one would be more in my line.

Too small Charlie and all that single glazed glass means fridge in winter oven in summer. Thats why i took all the glass out the vario

There's an older but a class and lhd euramobil on Facebook too .

Upholstery etc is a bit dated but i usually cover it with throws

What about the euramobil advertised on here tam Northernraider , seems your cup of tea, loads of extras too?
He'd be able to run his own boot sale with all that extra kit.
I know Tam doesn't like the idea of an upstairs bed - but that diner could be made up permanently [even getting a proper sprung mattress] and still have acres of lounging space. Like the separate shower cubicle too.
Does seem set up for EHU though with a electric hotplate and A/C but I guess you don't have to use it.

Alterations/improvements could always be made as funds allowed.

Yep and that's what made me fed up with the hymer. I could never rely on the heating. I seem to have that problem with every van ive ever owned. And when full-time off grid it soon gets you down.

As you appear to mostly wildcamp. Have you thought about a soundproofed generator or Efoy perhaps. They would keep your batteries charged and you could run a small fan heater etc direct from Honda or via inverter.

Yes i have considered it . Someplaces i park up id get away with a generator , others not so much. I guess if i had storage for one then i wouldn't mind carrying it for emergencies.

There's a lot of stuff included with that id use but a lot i wouldn't ,awnings , etc but it is a nice van and worth considering.

LHD would have been perfect though and a towbar to mount a scooter rack.

Always compromises lol

I’ve always thought about lack of storage on the van life type builds, I think that’s why a lot of them look like a jumble sale with stuff all ver place and they never seem to have much living space, it se ems they usually have a bed made up and stuff chucked on it.
I just fitted two chequerplate storage boxes on the rear,,,they store all my bits,,buckets, cables, nets for awning etc etc..Only thing in the van is my watering can which lives in a bag in the loo when travelling.Bikes are above storage boxes with chairs and spare cassette.BUSBY.

It’s more a worry with me because if I’ve forgotten something I’ll have to BUY it😳😳😳

More action, less thinking. Sadly I believe you are like me one who overthinks to the state of confusion. An old wise head told me your original thoughts are normally your right thoughts.

If I put the sound proofing around my petrol Honda 2 eu inverter, I find it's not much different to my Diesel running Eberspacher and less in intrusive except when on load?
The Efoy is a quiet hum but the downside is cost.

I have at least come to one decision.

Im going to sell the vario and ive let the interested party from here know im happy to go ahead. Theres a few bits i will need to do to it just to make it roadworthy to get him home with it. Obviously it has no floor boards etc so it won't be a very relaxing drive lol but it is still motd and can be insured etc.

Not made a decision what im replacing it with yet but im ok in the caravan till i decide . Clearing out all my tools etc from vario will be my biggest problem.

Ive just collected my car which is needing a good wash and a hoover so I'm going to do that after some lunch
