Tam & co the great winter escape

No luck at the cemetery either. Fortunately i got a couple of bottles filled at a petrol station so ive about 30 litres now . That will do for a couple of days while i try and find a tap somewhere to fill tank. In slavkov u Brno now for the night.
Had any knocks on the door from orange sellers yet? :giggle:

Try a search for public toilets near your location, 😉 failing that bulk buy bottled water from lidl or similar. 😁 Bob.

Now in the lovely wee village of Telc , arrived here about 4pm so just had time for a walk around the lake before it gets dark. Theres a castle here somewhere that we will go explore tomorrow.

Funny about the water situation, we filled up at the local repsol as it was at €1.84 and easy to get into and after filling they offered us water free of charge. Nice.
Placencià in Spain.
I think its because its freezing overnight here . Its been - 6 overnight the last week , so all the outside Taps are turned off.

I hope he is as l am looking forward in wat the progress and final product 👍
Knowing Tam's luck with the weather it'll be buried in a 10ft snow drift when he gets back!

Just think, no more gas from crazy Putin then buy from wee cranky...😳

Tam had to give up on one road even with chains on.
Agreed, but the Van he undertook his adventure on was a brave thing to do where as modern vehicle would perform better.
This is something else l am looking forward to him moving the Iveco on as l fully expect him to turn a profit.

Nice pictures but whenever I see them I think, is Britain missing a trick by using tarmac instead of cobbles, there are no potholes and it always looks good. (I know, sometimes looks can be deceiving)

Strange what goes through ones head?

I live in a town with many medieval buildings, we have cobbles in the Guildhall square (below) which are lovely but they are being replaced by new flooring in a "modernisation" of the square, it's such a shame and is a great dividing point in the town.

We are twinned with Honfleur which has huge areas of cobbles and I can't see them being "modernised".

Amazing though how many old cobbles are being dug up in many french towns and villages just to be replaced with the same old bland white new sets that are the same wherever you go in the country.
