Tam & co the great winter escape

As ive said before the very fact Scotland has to ask permission from Westminster to hold a vote for its own people is a red flag alone that this is not a union of equals.

I try to stay away from politics BUT I seem to remember, a short time ago, that a Government Bill (or some such thing) had to be scrapped because one person from the Scottish Parliament would not vote for it?????

I thought it was Tam's thread?
It's Tam's Travel Thread, he has already been banned from the U Shaped Lounge we don't want him banned from here as well.
No point in winding him up we all know his political views are often at loggerheads with most of us on here.

Nope thats just how you interpret a scottish hate of Westminster . Especially the Tories 😁 we have been their guinea pigs for too long.

P.s if i had something against the english charlie i wouldn't be on here , i wouldn't be keeping you all entertained 😁 as lets face it the majority of people on this thread are english.

I've never had a problem with english people. Most of them are sick of the crap service from westminster too.

I just feel my country should be in control of every part of it ...not just what westminster thinks is appropriate.

Ive said this before too but the irony is that most people in England who think scotland is a burden or couldn't survive on its own are the same folk that voted for brexit 🤷‍♂️. Its a tad hypocritical to be honest.
In my view your last paragraph is completely wrong, we are all British, and most of Scots and English want it to remain that way because we all live on the same island, speak the same language and are British.
Now you and other Scots don't want to be associated with England but you would rather be ruled by France and Germany, does that make any sense, not to me anyway.

We have never been ruled by france or Germany charlie.

Thats my point 🤷‍♂️ the majority in England obviously believed that .

62% at least in Scotland never has , we don't have the same fears about immigration and freedom of movement as those in england do. We have very litttle support in Scotland for a conservative government.

So we are politically not the same . And that has always been the source of argument between north and south.
Thatcher did a lot of damage to Scotland , the latest bunch of tories have added to that damage.

There will never be a Tory government in Scotland ....but we get saddled with the one in Westminster because you lot have no other option as they are all crap 🤷‍♂️

Anyway enough

I want the name of the german vet

No such thing Tam, somebody pays.
Same as everything people see as "free" whether it's free school meals or free prescriptions somebody pays.

I much preferred this thread before it got political ☹️

Not political, I agree and always amazed how you can usually find a WiFi in the most out of the way places in Europe, far more than here where you would think would be at the front.

Its free for everyone to use 🤷‍♂️ someone may well pay but tourists don't.

I liken these threads to a walk around fellow campers. Morning, morning, nice day, what did you do yesterday? How are the dogs, what have they been up to, did you hear what Nicola/Boris etc did, what do you think about the fuel price, and so on. Because it’s virtual, one can drop into the conversation and walk away without seeming rude - hopefully 🙂

Over 3.5t its required on most roads apparently.

Im under 3.5t and don't plan to use motorway so i haven't got one

Still on the search for water ... tried 4 petrol stations with no luck. Stopped for lunch at present then ive a cemetery to try 😁

Regarding water can you just stop at a farm and ask them.?

No luck at the cemetery either. Fortunately i got a couple of bottles filled at a petrol station so ive about 30 litres now . That will do for a couple of days while i try and find a tap somewhere to fill tank. In slavkov u Brno now for the night.
