I've found sometimes boxes don't show up on a mobile but fine on a desktop screen.
that could have been it as the first few attempts were on andriod, Later on in desperation i took to the laptop as the screen is generally more user friendly on such things to make sure i had not made any mistakes and noticed the tiny tick box.

I didnt think to look back at the mobile web page, i just assumed i was not paying attention...:giggle:
Thats possible but if its the case its useless to me as i only have a mobile. No computer.

Will likely be the one and only time i ever use direct ferries as its shit when you can't get hold of them
 
Or just book with the actual ferry companies......direct.

I understand Tams frustration. I don't bother with these agents anymore. I use them to find the best deal, then go to the ferry companies direct.

I agree with the comment about those on-line agents.

However, I have used a very good agent for Italy-Greek ferries last year. Just call them and you get personal service with options on routes/fares/cabins , because they are obviously linked to the shipping lines. So no having to go back into the system to try another option.

We made three changes to reservations with quick phone calls and almost immediate confirmations, with no extra charges. Just a request to drop the old tickets off at check-in or return to London office, on trust - well why wouldn't I with such a good company.

They unfortunately do not do Channel, nor Norwegian.

The name is ViaMare. Used by many Grecophile MHomers.

I have found a few times trying to do things through Safari it will not go through so then try Chrome and it works.
 
I definitely am not a fan of dogs of any shape or form but I have just been reading up on the link that was provided about the breed of dog that Ella is, absolutely beautiful dog so lucky, lucky you (y)

I’ve used them once to get back from Greece last year when we were in a hurry and couldn’t find any crossings. Brilliant service and quick to respond to emails and calls.
Usually I go direct through Anek but their website wasn’t showing any availability and we were travelling so had variable WiFi/4g to do multiple searches.

Well im still no further forward ...the email reply i got in response to me asking if the amendment had been done was this 🤷‍♂️

Which is useless .....so i have replied yet again stating the reason im contacting them is because i DID do it through my account but have had zero confirmation of its success or not.

Meanwhile i don't know whether to head out of romania now or not ...

Bloody useless they are and you can't phone them .
 
The phone charge says "up to" so worth ringing and see if they will do it for 10 quid.
You can't as theres no number ...you email them and if they deem you worthy they will phone you otherwise you play email ping-pong till all resistance has been drained from your spent and worthless mind.


I can't even cancel as i didn't pay an extra £100 for a Flexi ticket.


Never again will i use ferries direct

Another Funster said that a couple of weeks ago.
 
Just tried them, the 020 number doesn't work at all and the other has a message saying they have technical issues and can't take the call.
Did say will reopen lines ASAP so may be able to get through later but I don't hold much hope.
 
Hi Tam, sorry but we used direct ferries in January the number we used has a recorded message stating they no longer answer inbound calls. We had to use the online form but they did get back to us, good luck.

Yep my concern is where they state they prioritise people sailing in the next 5 days they must assume everyone thst crosses the channel only originate from uk or france. They don't consider that people might have 5 other countries to travel through before that ...

I hadn't planned on a direct drive from here to Calais.

I just want to know if im sailing on the 22nd as planned or the 15th.

When i submitted the change it says on that page " date changed " but then iy doesn't refresh or give any other information.

If i close it and reopen my booking it still shows the 22nd . There's been no email confirmation nor a request for additional payment.

Is it because they need to contact dfds first then contact me

Or did it not work ... that's yhe problem.

If it didn't then ive plenty time

If it did then im wasting time sat here waiting for a reply.

But if i leave romania thinking im saiing on the15th and it turns out im not then im going to overstay my Schengen days or have to pay a shit load more for short notice travel.

Neither option i like very much

Have you tried going onto the DFDS website and checking what your booking shows there?

Why not ring DFDS and see if they can assist?
 
I know the frustration Tam, we had the same messages as you had, but they did call and were amazing. I sent my request on 24th at 6.30pm, by 12.30 25th all sorted. We did have to pay but we expected it. Can you upload a screenshot of your amendment to them and enfisice 90 rule. Good luck again
