I need to stick to black or dark grey jumpers instead of these light colours. I keep dribbling stuff on my hoodies etc im embarrassed how many stains are on them . ...and of course mucky paws dont help either

Come on man! After you have used it for washing, bolt the 5gall drum on to your wheel nuts (just like Boudica's swords) and then they would spin-dry the clothes as you went along! Where's the great Scottish inventiveness that we know & love?? :LOL:
 
Moved today to Timisoara , hmmm not sure it was worth the 2 hour drive but at least it was sunny when we got here so a nice day for a walk around the centre. Very busy i thought

I will definitely be back to Romania and i will explore Bulgaria more too. But i will aim to do them at a warmer time . I think maybe april till end of june would be a good time

Whit a carry on tae do laundry ...theres only one launderette in timisoara ...only takes cash
5 different ATMs i tried to withdraw cash with my clarity card everyone declined.
At the last one i gave up and tried my ordinary bank card ...finally managed to get 50 leu which is about £8.50
Finally found the laundarette around 11am ...it was mobbed .. only now got a machine . 15 leu to wash , and the dryer is 5 leu its very cheap but very busy Cant believe all this money is worth like £7 ...i had to buy oranges to get change 🤣🤣

There are now a lot of Banking restrictions now in place due to the Ukraine war, perhaps these are having some effect? :unsure:
 
All my washing done ...free wifi too so i got a couple of movies downloaded and the first season of peaky blinders to rewatch ...thats my entertainment sorted for the next couple of nights ...all for the princely sum of £4

Ive just spotted theres a Tesco in Hungary ...im well excited 😁 anyway ill be crossing in to hungary on Tuesday . Hoping i have no dramas during my days in shengen as im cutting it right to the bone on my 90 days.
 
so Tam you say your cutting it fine on the Schengen days so has the ferry company been back to you and ive missed it?

Never heard from them ...i emailed them telling them if there was any amendments pending to cancel them and leave my ticket as it was which is 6pm on the 22nd march .

Their customer service is diabolical

Yes i asked the guard as he walked away ...he laughed...then when he came back he said its normal we stamp. I said not in my experience ive a couple missing and it caused me problems in bulgaria.

But yes ive been stamped out of Romania and in to Hungary.
 
Every car bar me at the border had UA plates. Never saw any other plates.

All cars were large mercedes , audi suv , BMW , 4x4 etc ...no regular Renault's or skodas...and no pedestrians either which i was surprised at .


Again friendly guards ...they did keep me sitting a good 10 minutes while they were away with my passport and v5

For once being out the EU was beneficial as that lane was empty so i took it ...in the end i had a queue behind me . Feel sorry for the lorry drivers many of those won't get through there today ...there must have been 500 trucks
 
First stop was the city of Gyula for lunch and a walk around the castle and cathedral .....second stop was Tesco's 😁 yes Hungary has a tesco ... hopefully i can get soup ...and maybe pot noodles ...and maybe a new hoody ..woohoo . I shall report back shortly .
