Aye theres a military base behind that Bulgaria sign on the hill ... lot of coming and going here though with dog walkers and guys fishing ..theres even boats in the wee river so im not sure why theres so much bother as it would be incredibly easy to cross over here if someone wanted toMorning Tam, those guys were almost certainly military as that section of the border is a restricted area and policed by the army. I am surprised that you got down there without being stopped and checked in that last stretch of wooded track but you can be sure that your presence was closely monitored throughout the nightYou may well be checked again on your way out of that area. Be a bit cautious in taking pictures and do not put the drone up in that place !
Might get you a free viewing of a prison cell, the start of a whole new adventure.i had thought about putting the drone up as id have liked to get a photo with the van sitting between the two countries but i did think it might not be a good idea ..
"Tam does time" surely?Might get you a free viewing of a prison cell, the start of a whole new adventure.![]()
Before i answer that question you need to answer mineSorry Tam about the lights, took it for granted that you knew about that, you did well though as that is normally 50lev fine, they obviously like youYou will find the people here are very friendly and helpful generally. Do you have some kind of licence for flying your drone ?
The one year one is the operator ID which you should have labeled on your drone. If not id say i did the online thing for operater id and license in the uk last year ....one lasts for 3 years the other only 1 year ...the 1 year one has expired .
Must have changed summit then as im certain mine was 1 year and 3 years. But i think a lot has changed recently regarding ones over a certain weight etc ...ive not looked as its just something else the government wants to ruin ....like electric scooters lol.The one year one is the operator ID which you should have labeled on your drone.
The Flyer ID lasts for 5 years.
I've been looking into this as I had a drone for Chrissy present. The UK Flyer ID is exactly the same as the UK one but not valid in the EU if you take the test in the EU, (why not it's free) it's valid in all EU countries. I also took out 3rd party insurance.
Yeah to be fair i probably won't use it much anywhere near people anyway. When i do i only have it up 10 minutes at most then its down and packed away and im off .No Tam, I am not in law enforcement of any description anymore having been retired for fifteen years now. Just that regulations are still regarded as sacrosanct by officials here (hangover from the Soviet times) and I would not like you fall foul. If you have your UK permit with you you should be ok.
New rules came into force in December 2020 if you are fully up to date and registered it actually gives you more freedom than the old laws. So it's worth doing.Must have changed summit then as im certain mine was 1 year and 3 years. Yes theres been a few idiots doing stupid stuff with drones but most folk have sense to keep away from airports etc .
Hmm that doesn't sound right as both my brother and a mate had the same drones as me and sold theirs back in the summer last year as the new rules were making it almost impossible to fly the larger drones . Brother had his for years and always fully legal ...my mate sold his to get a lighter one as the rules for them are much more lenient.New rules came into force in December 2020 if you are fully up to date and registered it actually gives you more freedom than the old laws. Main change is you have to have an operator ID for drones over 250gms & drones with cameras. If you have the Operator ID & Flyer ID you can now fly much close to people and fly in industrial zones which was previously banned.
Class 0 & Class1 you get much more freedom to fly but once you get into the big ones over 500gms there are more restrictions, I think your Mavic is Class 1.Hmm that doesn't sound right as both my brother and a mate had the same drones as me and sold theirs back in the summer last year as the new rules were making it almost impossible to fly the larger drones . Ive never bothered reading all the stuff about them i just avoid being too near people or i make sure im far enough away i can land it and hide it lol.
Yeah mine is about 4 years old i reckon my brothers was the next model but still probably 3 years old .Class 0 & Class1 you get much more freedom to fly but once you get into the big ones over 500gms there are more restrictions, I think your Mavic is Class 1.
But unless your drone has a classification marketing on it the rules are very restrictive so you can't really fly an old drone, one much more than 2 years old.
You seem well versed in the practiceI think all those Soldiers/Police are using you to transport their contraband! One hops in and leaves something for the next one![]()
Good job we understand the context of that postYeah to be fair i probably won't use it much anywhere near people anyway. When i do i only have it up 10 minutes at most then its down and packed away and im off .
Will you lot stop droning on!!!Yeah mine is about 4 years old i reckon my brothers was the next model but still probably 3 years old .
