Just got a message from the lab saying test negative ( no surprise there ) and i can collect it from 7am tomorrow. Not sure why i can't collect now as they are open till 8pm and its only 7

The studio next door is also a dance studio it seems and at present there is a group doing a dance to a Carlos santana track.....they obviously keep getting a bit wrong and the music stops briefly and then starts again at the beginning.....i like the song but its driving me Fiddlesticksin nuts ...

That's normal with dance lessons, keep going over the same moves until everyone in the group has got it then move on to the next move.
You could always go & join in.

Very funny thing just happened.... because im parked up centre of town on a fairly busy street i have the curtains drawn accross the cab behind the front seats and the blinds all closed bar the one opposite my seat and overlooking the park ...im just sat reading and the dogs were sleeping. This van has very tinted windows so you cant see in at all unless the opposite blind is open then you can see shadows etc but nothing else .

So anyway im sat there reading with my hood up as its a bit chilly lol and i suddenly hears a light bang on the window ....on instinct i go "jesus WTF " and look up at which point this blooming woman who has her hands on the window either side of her head lets out a scream. Ela thats lying below the window jumps up and barks followed by milo whi starts going nuts .... ...she ran off rabbiting hysterical greek to some guy who's already half way through the park lol. ..

Guess she never expected anyone to be in serves her right for being nosey

Picked up test results this morning then headed towards alexandroupoli ....had a stop at makri to take dogs a walk and visit the cyclops cave.....there may still be a cyclops living there as lots of straw and bags on the floor so i didn't venture too far inside

Now im alexandroupoli ... Have topped up with water and gas and now outside the look launderette having lunch while my washing is in .....i put the bloody coins in the wrong bit ...i put them in the soap powder dispenser instead of the machine so ended up having to buy €3 worth of fabric softener and drier sheets as id already put my own detergent in .

Reminds me of when I was on campsite once. There was a shower that needed tokens I had two tokens and the shop was shut. I put both tokens in and pulled the shower cord. Nothing. I went back outside and I realised I had put my tokens in next doors shower meter. The German guy got 30 minutes extra of hot water and i got none

It would help if there was any hint of instructions in English lol.....still i cant complain its only €3 for a 10kg wash and the €0.50 for 12 minutes drying time . So probably €5 all in .... plus another 3 in 6 washing capsules , 2 satches of softener and 2 drying sheets lol ...

Nowt to see in alexandroupoli either really so once the washing is done im jist going to head up towards the border. If i cross tonight it leaves me 15 days shengen time ... cross tomorrow it leaves me 14 so not bad either way . Will see how it goes

Well thats us in Bulgaria.....for some weird reason greece covid tested me again when i left . Bulgaria never looked at my test result only my vaccine status .... typical. ...no one at border spoke much english.

Had to buy a vignette at border too which was 30 bulgarian wotsits ...about €15 for 1 month im confused though does that cover me for all roads ? . Lots of snow around although it looks a few days or weeks old ...im in svilengrad for the night ...satnav took me a right merry dance to get here but finally parked up . First impressions of Bulgaria , drivers are bad ...really bad , theres a lot of casinos , its very dark ... even in the centre of town theres not much light. It looks pretty rough so far but it was getting dark when i arrived so will reserve judgement till i see a bit more.

Hi Tam and welcome to Bulgaria ! Your vignette covers you for all roads here, including the motorways. Are you still planning on getting the titre tests done here ? What is your intended route through to Romania ? My advice would be to take the coastal route as there are some delays on the central mountain passes from the recent snowfall.

Hi yes i plan to make my way over to the coast now. I was going to ask you actually if you would mind asking your vet if he knows how long it takes for the test results to come back then i can sort of plan something. I planned to enter romania on the coast too but not for a few weeks at least.

I will call the vet in the morning and let you know on the tests. I guess you will be stopping somewhere near Burgas tonight, I am only about 2hrs drive north from there and there is a good park up right near the beach here while you are waiting for test results.
