Tam and Toby ~~ Hunting Zorba .....Take two.

My mates & I never had new bikes, they were all built and adapted from scrapped bikes from the junk yard.
When I bought my first house, I gutted the inside, shovelled the rubble & plaster straight out the front door inside the back of my old transit van, drove the dump, with very light steering:giggle: Then opened the back doors of the van, reversed with great speed, slapped on the brakes and most of the rubble came out the back straight onto the tip of all sorts.
I got that lesson watching the other builders do the same, there was no one about to monitor anything in those days.
My first ever skip cost a fortune in 1979....£30 quid cash, a weeks wages nearly as an apprenticed sparks.
LES
Aye...we didn’t even have bikes from the tip....just had an old bike wheel each and ran alongside it with a stick pretending we had bikes...

To be honest ive past caring... come tuesday my 10 days are done and ill be out and about.... things to do etc

I knew the tests were a waste of time as soon as they were announced and ive been proved right ...its all soundbites and half arsed measures. I do resent having to pay for them though whilst having to isolate anyway ...total nonsense.
I expect it will all improve once we’ve got Alex Salmond back in charge...

Not much chance of that

Thats a walloper if ever there was one. And regsrdless of evidence presented wrongly he definitely did something the wee weasel.

Caution some bad language but hilarious 🤣🤣🤣

Im glad i don't live in England no wonder theres so much fly tipping
Never a truer word said. I believe that the County Council are financially responsible for tips, and local authorities responsible for clearing fly-tippling. Wonder if that is anything to do with it?

Insured the car today £185 with Churchill , the correct exhaust should arrive tomorrow and the wrong one collected ( what a hassle getting that picked up as ebay seller insisting he supplied the correct one ..see pic for comparison ...and then trying to tell me the post office would take it 🤦‍♂️

ive also replaced all the rear brakes and ive ordered the post cat lambda sensor which was causing the EML to illuminate so just a 3 inch patch to weld now on the inner wing and fit the back box and it should be fit for mot by end of week.

I'll Probably book the bus in for next week as the wiper switch might not be here before Thursday.

Final day of isolation tomorrow thankfully. Hopefully get back to delivery work next week too once car is on the road ....then its time to start checking the local farms etc for potential places to do the work on the bus.

Did you sort the warning lights on Toby?

Did you sort the warning lights on Toby?
Not looked at that yet ...but they seem to come on and off at will so possibly some sensor or loose connection somewhere.

when ive got the more pressing jobs out the way I'll investigate ....to be honest ive a few wee jobs to do on Toby but he won't be going anywhere for a while so i can do it later .....need the car on the road though , and the mot check on the bus will determine whether im building it or getting shot.

Im hoping the weather picks up a bit too as doing anything outside just now is unpleasant. Its freezing today

Yeah i was dissapointed at how much rubbage was around in Greece ... nearly all the park4night places commented on it many having said they cleaned up, Jackie and i regularly cleaned up spots we were at and either burnt it or dragged it to the many many bins.

Its sad to see and i experienced the same in Portugal and many parts of Spain . And its 99% done by locals and its usually visitors that clean it up . Yet in many locations its blamed on visitors 🤷🏻‍♂️

It will be interesting to see what happens in Portugal now they've stopped wildcamping. The beaches will be like a shithole ...

Thats terrible
Yes it’s one of the few things in Greece I don’t like ....apart from police of course and nobody likes them...too many backhanders....trouble is Greeks don’t like paying taxes so anyone who brought in a council tax or poll tax wouldn’t last long...hence no bin collection...

I fear it is probably a phenomenon found anywhere tbat mankind inhabit.
It was certainly common in both Wales and Scotland when I lived there and in the countryside outside Rome in 1986 so I fear nothing is new a d very little changes.
I now live beside a beautiful lake in Andalusia.
Most days I am out on the beach and trails that surround the lake on my supa doopa off-road mobility scooter with my dogs.
Several weeks ago I began coming across bigish white bags of rubbish, each about tbe size of a pillow case.
The first one I loaded on my buggy and brought home to deposit it in tbe bin. The following day tbere were two more which I also brought home.
Over the next couple of weeks more and more bags arrived. It became apparent they were arriving by vehicle from a track that ran just outside and above a wire fence that marked tbe perimiter of the wooded trail I was using.
The litter lout had now begun dropping them just over the fence, where tbey would roll down the bank into the woodland surrounding the trail.
This blatant p*** taking annoyed me, so I made a point of visiting daily. Where ever he (assumption on my part) had thrown bags over tbe fence, I returned tbem to his side.
The perpetrator would then drop them back across to my side and add another couple further along the length of fence line.
He was really annoying me now but I am not very steady on my feet and was beginning to really struggle to return these bags from whence they came.
Then last week there were two new bags on "my side" (which I returned to the top side of the fence, but tbe earlier bags had all been left on "his" side).
I had hospital appointments on tbe next couple of days so was unable to return to the battlefield.
It was with some trepidation i returned three days later, knowing if the bags were back on my side I would not have the strength to return tbem. HALLELUJAH !!
Not only were there no bags on my side of the fence but all tbe bags of rubbish had been removed entirety.
How relieved I was, the litter lout had no idea how close to giving up I was 🤣😃

Didn’t understand a bloody word !

On the upside, some items don't get fly tipped any more. When was the last time you found a black bag full of pornos? Circa 1996 for me although the farmers at my work did find a big bag of dildos when they were clearing out the hedge rows not so long ago.

Claims online if they stop in the middle of the screen its a fail ...cant get them to park without switching off ignition when they at bott

I think you need to clarify.
Was it a big bag full of dildos or a bag full of big dildos 😳

Bus is in for its mot Tuesday 6th April at 11.15 .

Got to pay a bloody lane fee to of another £42 ... ridiculous the price of an hgv mot
Is it only this time you have to pay for HGV mot Tam, then after that it will be private HGV and have a mot like Toby. And cheaper road tax. (y)

Yeah once its converted to a camper it will be the same as Toby.

If the mot had been new or had months to go I wouldn't have had to bother but because its expired and station can only mot it as what it says on computer this is the only way i can legally drive it at present.

Just hoping it passes

Road tax is the same though for this class of hgv as phgv
