Tam and Toby ~~ Hunting Zorba .....Take two.

Like I said skip works out cheaper, you see a lot of small business people using them I think they must have much lower contract rates as a one off they are silly money.
Never seen them before ...i wonder if they actually operate in scotland

If you local tip is anything like ours, they will see a van and immediatly presume trade waste and charge £££
No amount of explaining will make them change their minds

So that looks like possible a £25 fee to dvsa ...
Is that Scottish maths?
Think ill just be chancing it at the tip.
Any mates/family have a car with towbar hyou can borrow and borrow a trailer.
If you manage that check to see if you need a permit for a trailer at the tip. You do at ours, I just had to apply online and print it.

Here, PBoro, if you want to take a van to the dump you have to apply for a permit... it's free and allows several trips. Just avoids the commercial waste hassle. Maybe your local authority does similar.

Same in Durham

Tell you one thing if this bus fails on loads ill be asking how its been passing these psv tests for years lol
Thats an easy one Tam, it was all those old buggers relying on it everyday, and showing their bus passes, to go get their shopping, bit like Lenny maybe? :imoutahere:
LES

Bribery works. I bought a big chocolate cake from Sainsburys when I downsized. Visited the Kinross tip daily for a couple of weeks :)

Claims online if they stop in the middle of the screen its a fail ...cant get them to park without switching off ignition when they at bottom.
Hopefully just a poor connection on the park switch. It will give you something to do.

I park mine with the stalk switch on the 1991 and 2001 vans (neither park or work on intermittent -seems new wiper motors are needed) - I was amazed when the recently bought 1988 Trafic camper wipers worked in intermittent and parked! (y)

I think it might be the switch ...im gonna dismantle it later ...i think ive found the same one on ebay for £43 hopefully

No relay on these it seems but the switch works wipers, indicators, horn, main beam flash all in one 🤦‍♂️ from merc its £150

Gotta do my day 8 test this morning too although seems pointless as still not heard anything back from my day 2 one .. not even an email acknowledging receipt

Try phoning the lab and just number busy constantly

The parking switch will be built into the wiper motor, the stalk switch won't have anything to do with the wiper park position.

Thats what i thought too but from googling i found ba MB forum and theres a few folk there have swapped motors and not solved the problem.... swapped the switch and it did

So im unsure at the minute

Tam, round our way the 'man with van' type rubbish removal is cheaper than a skip. If you pile it up, send them a photo of the pile and they give you a price, then come and load it up and away. Google rubbish removal. Be careful if they've a twin axle caravan with them though

Make sure you see their waste disposal permit otherwise it may end up in a poor farmers field! It happens a lot round here :(

Can't you get one of those dustbin type garden incinerator things and burn your wood?
