In a toga?
No ta
BrrrIt's warm enough, wouldn't want to wear a Toga here next week, talking snow, even in the sunny south!!
Did you get export licences for them. You never know when you arrive at the french port for ferry to the uk. They will search the van find the urchins. No export licences strip searched and anal probes. Unless that’s your plan. EnjoyIm rather pleased with my sea urchin shell collection now ....View attachment 463301

Edit: Sorry, just seen that you're not interested in mini buses and I have sent you a few of these.

Ive my eye on one van based bus on eBay with the intention that if it was cheap enough id just remove all the windows I didn't want and plate steel them.
£300 ! Struth ! Does that include everything ? Food, ferries, petrol, Haggis, gas etc ?Thats good to know regarding bulgaria
Im lost with the fuel consumption figures of some of these motors as every person ive asked will tell me how many litres per 100km as thats how they work it out in europe
The old Merc truck i really like but not practical for me ....i don't really need 4x4 etc.
Im pretty much settled on a merc vario and while there is a few models available with the 2.9 engine ill likely be buying the 4.25 one as they are heavy vans
Claimed figures for the 4.25 is 20 -25mpg which is the same as my frankia got
Toby gets 25mpg
I can live with that as overall my cost of living is low
This trip ive averaged £300 per month so far ....its almost impossible to spend money during lockdowns
Yes as the only thing im doing is buying food and using diesel and lpg for cooking and fridge.£300 ! Struth ! Does that include everything ? Food, ferries, petrol, Haggis, gas etc ?
Yep exactly and it means theres many chancers asking silly money for heaps of scrap.I wonder what that would be up for if it wan't for #vanlife, nowhere near £15.5k would be my guess. Second hand van prices are definitely on the increase. They all have "ideal for camper van conversion" in the ads nowadays.
Yeah i am a bit but as long as my head is higher than my feet i can manage a night. You seem to be on a fair old slope.
Not as good as a lot of the other sites, spoilt for choice in Greece.I thought Olympia was done disappointing but iconic I guess .
It will probably be closed like the rest of them so its just drone shots im afterNot as good as a lot of the other sites, spoilt for choice in Greece.
At least it will be quiet (if open) as no cruise ships. By luck we managed to pick the day the ships didn't stop I think it was Wednesday.
I have winter tyres on the front drive wheels but not the back ...not sure what the timescale is for them there as countries vary ....will seeOur ageing neighbour's where dragged off to Bulgaria in October by the son and daughter in law, after the dad had his second stent fitted here in Spain and Yes he is getting forgetful ........... but in my view unless you loose your marbles, you shouldn't plan someone's life.
They found them a nice 6th floor flat in Sofia, no outside space, a city they wouldn't dare drive in, and although they lived in Switzerland and speak French and English felt out of their comfort zone in Bulgaria and returned back here last night.
An expensive holiday, having got rid of a lot of furniture someone in to paint it to be sold, renting our apartment for the son and d in law prior helping them pack, getting their car transported both ways the dogs transported both ways air fares taxi and so on.
Anyway one thing that clicked was the heap of tyres on their patio this morning that they unloaded out the car, because THEY NEEDED WINTER TYRES something you need to look into Tam. Bob.
