Tam and Toby ~~ Hunting Zorba .....Take two.

was that a little autobianchi in the pics
Yes thats right ...an a112

Well spotted

I saw it from up the hill and originally thought it was an old yugo zastava but noticed when up close it was a 112 ....quite a rare beast

Kalimera! We met a few weeks ago and had to leave to sort out a balance problem. Turned out to be a brain tumour which got removed in Athens. Great service!

Just looking into sorting residency as looks like travel might be problematic this year. Was wondering if you were still planning on heading
When we did ours in sept 2019 the proof of funds were bank statements from our U.K. bank, not translated. We also had to give proof of our Greek address. Because we had had problems trying to do it using the boat yard, even though legally it is permitted, we paid a local agent €50 each and she applied on our behalf, using her office as the address. She must have hundreds of yachties registered there!
Also passport photos - get them done in Greece as they’re a different size to those in the U.K., you’ll need to go to a photo but they’re not expensive, I think ours were €12.
Copies of passport and health insurance also needed. We used EHIC’s but not sure if you can do that now.
You need to supply several copies of each document.
From various reports the requirements can vary depending on which police station /officer you go to or get, what mood they’re in, and which set of rules they feel like following on that day.

The beige cards are being replaced this year by blue biometric ones.

There‘s an interesting Facebook page called British in Greece which has all the info.

Not sure why it cut off...

Just asking if you were still planning on going out of shengen as you travel back to the UK or if you were going for Greek residency.

Still looking into it but if you have an agent or contact that could help would be very useful.

Enjoy the weather!

yes he did mention that,:unsure::unsure:

I’m not sure if one can apply for Greek Residency (actually it’s not Greek Residency, that takes 5 years, it’s Residential Status ) now as the cut off date for getting the Beige Card was 31st December for UK Citizens when we finished the transition period. One would now have to apply as a non EU citizen which is a whole new ball game. Tam will be OK as after the Scottish Referendum Scotland will presumably be in the EU 😊 if the EU agree to allow Scotland in.

Well there may be some pun about Hadrian's Wall -rebuild - Treaty of Rome.

You all can work it out.

Option 1, No service.
Option 2, Bored with Aunty/Jackie stuff.
I reckon
Option 2, Bored (embarrassed) with Aunty/Jackie stuff.

But could be wrong. I would be embarrassed but then I can't speak for Tam

Ah not so good on the brain tumour but good news that it was caught and rectified so quickly

Im not doing anything regarding residency at the minute as im still not sure what im doing in the future.

Plans have a way of going wrong so im not planning to far ahead

he said he was low on data a couple of days ago so may be saving it,
Yes very low on data and as it uses way more to upload pics etc on here than it does on my polarsteps and Instagram and its also more footery ive just been posting them on there this week.

Also family and friends follow me on Polarsteps and insta so i try to keep that updated first
Its free to follow and many on here now do so aswell.

Once you start piggy backing . . . . .
I reckon

Yeah the jackie stuff is a bit old now ...im gonna have to stop mentioning when i meet women travelling.

Gawd knows how bad it would get if i revealed im actually bisexual 😉

Option 3 - got annoyed with the separatist stuff on another thread.

He is still updating his Polarsteps
Polarsteps takes me literally 2 minutes to upload 15-20 photos ....i just click add pics and it loads the latest ones from my gallery and ignores the ones ive already posted.

Loading pics on here has become a task at times and sometimes takes me 15 -20 minutes to upload the same content

So when low on data its easier.

As for the other stuff its pointless discussing it on here if im honest

Fresh data this morning but first thread i saw was another one having a go at folk travelling etc and sone woman in spain getting grief

Its actually depressing at times logging on ☹️

I really don't understand why you don't upload a reduced picture size. I nearly always reduce my picture size when uploading to the web. A typical 4mb pic when reduced to 1024 x 768 comes down to around 150kb, not only uses a fraction of the data to upload it also uploads blindingly fast.

Its just more work having to reduce pic sizes and then store or delete them.

I keep all my pics at full size quality and use them on several platforms. The time taken to reduce and edit 20-30 pics a day sometimes would just eat in to my time to much

Like the shampoo advert i just want to post and go 😁

I just did an experiment it took me 45 seconds to reduce 15 photos. 30 would have taken another 10 sec just the time to click on them in the app and you don't have to worry about deleting them as the additional storage space is minimal.
