That looks very good I have to say ....Love a Schnitzel. Hands down the best meal I have ever had was veal schnitzel with potatoes and a side of mixed cabbage with small bits of bacon through it. Near Katowice in Poland a month or so ago. I was told the trick is to cook it in pigs fat

It's if you have been in those countries within the last 14 daysIt wasnt a hot area till Oct 2nd. You left well before then and these restrictions aren't usually retrospective. I don't think it applies to you.
This is the problem as some say it does and some say it doesn't ...there's a test centre in a carpark off one of the main roads in to trier so I will head up there tomorrow. The telephone number I've found is only in German and appears to be closed weekends but the test centre is not ..It wasnt a hot area till Oct 2nd. We live there so can we have the name and address of the restaurant please.
I think people are just confused with the difference in rules ...I have to say with the language barrier it's not easy to navigate.Very surprised at comments like this. Enough said.
Not criticising you Tam. Having followed your posts for many years I may not agree with some of your comments, but I know you are an honourable person and will do the right thing. Very easy for some of the commentators sitting at home to tell you to carry on, and basically stuff the rules.I think people are just confused with the difference in rules ...I have to say with the language barrier it's not easy to navigate.
I'm happy to get tested if need be it's just finding the place and knowing whether to just turn up or not as can't find a number with English speakers etc ...
I can drive up to the test site I've found tomorrow but don't want to get in bother just turning up ..
I'll know more once I drive up there
Pray what rules has he broken... in your opinion?basically stuff the rules.

But he was in Scotland, North East England, Belgium & Luxembourg within the last 14 days before entering Germany which is the German ruling. You left the country before the new regulations
But he was in Scotland, North East England, Belgium & Luxembourg within the last 14 days before entering Germany which is the German ruling.
I don't know what the fines are over there for not abiding by the rules but I wouldn't like to see Tam hit with one because funsters told him to ignore it.
But surely the counter is not retrospective? But he was in Scotland, North East England, Belgium & Luxembourg within the last 14 days before entering Germany which is the German ruling.

And the last of that out of date beer thankfully...
...and again, what rules do you think he's broken?
Was he stopped and checked at the Border by the authorities? or did he just drive into Germany.Anyway, its all academic. Tam is in Germany, their authorities were happy to let him in.
It clearly states having been in any of the listed countries 14 days before entry into Germany. I know he hasn't tried to deceive them but unfortunately he has got caught up in their new ruling. But surely the counter is not retrospective?

He didn't try to deceive them.
Don't know, do you?Was he stopped and checked at the Border by the authorities? or did he just drive into Germany.
Yes from what I can see that's their current position which pretty much covers every place I've been since leaving home. But he was in Scotland, North East England, Belgium & Luxembourg within the last 14 days before entering Germany which is the German ruling.

Retrospective? It clearly states having been in any of the listed countries 14 days before entry into Germany. I know he hasn't tried to deceive them but unfortunately he has got caught up in their new ruling.
You stated the Authorities were happy to let him in.Don't know, do you?
Well they must be if they have open borders...You stated the Authorities were happy to let him in.
To be fair I haven't actually passed any authorities so they don't technically know I'm here ...the road I entered from Luxembourg was pretty quiet ...Pray what rules has he broken... in your opinion?
Seriously.
He had left the country by the time the regulations changed.
And do you seriously have so little regard for the German authorities, that they cannot implement their own rules?
Yes, again he's been in Scotland, Northern England, Belgium and Luxembourg within the last 14 days. Luxembourg was actually added to their list on 25th September. The other countries added today and Tam entered Germany today.Retrospective?
Aye my carrots had gone mouldy ....not impressed lolWot! No carrots?
And where’s the gravy?
Very Scottish.
