Get the Wikiloc app - will tell you where you are, and where you've been & helpfully the footpaths around you so you can find your way around.

Do they 'mean' anything - or are you just meant to follow a colour or a shape?
I've often wondered where you can get a map with all of these marking on...

All these castles and our very own Braveheart surrounded them all but did not manage to capture one of them - disappointed!

I like the French type which are coloured lines that can be on anything from a tree , road sign , drain cover.
I find ‘map.me ‘ app is useful for walking, download your area then it works off line.

So this is Chateau buefort ....another ruin but still very imposing .....it's in a valley so I'm not surprised it's a ruin to be honest ...you could stand on a hill either side and throw stones at it lol ....some brilliant walks around here from amateur to the more hardcore walkers ....I'm more an amateur so the 7.1k circuit was enough for me ....rain started which scuppered my drone idea ...so a spot of lunch and it's now on to the next stop internet isn't great so if the pics don't load I'll load them later

Stumbled across a native American encampment....no sign of life so we snuck by unscalped

Yeah I've just arrived there ..that was my second castle for the day but it's pouring down now so will probably climb up to it tomorrow...I'm hoping to film this one with the drone if I can ....might take a wander through the town later today if the rain stops

Stopped for diesel in vianden as this will be my last night in Luxembourg before entering Germany .....having got diesel in Belgium I only managed to squeeze in 32.11 litres at €0.919 L ...so €29.50
Mileage 110073

And I'm now parked up here for the night so I can visit the town and castle.
This seemed the best flt spot around here for proximity to both town and castle and out the way .

Went for a walk around the town and up to the chateau ..it's eerily quiet around here there's no one around , most of the shops etc are closed , those that are open are empty ....great for social distancing but very weird it's like siesta time in Spain

Hey thanks for that app tip ...I've signed up for that it looks great ...shows all the local trails nearby and the routes etc ...from easy to expert ...that will come in handy

I'm planning to cross in to Germany tomorrow but I've just seen on the Germany thread that they have now placed UK on naughty list ....anyone know if this is going to affect me? I'd really rather not have to quarantine for 14 days on entry

You'd left the UK prior to this... so you're not coming from UK but from France/Belgium/Luxembourg
