Tut tut! Mongrels are not scabby! Genuine mongrels ie. cross breeds are frequently much healthier than the average "pure breed" dog, who are frequently in-bred with many inherent faults and weaknesses.
Sadly many of the rediculously highly priced "designer dogs " are also now being born with inherant defects.

With dogs the price they are, I can't understand why everyone doesn't breed them.

Erm..if that happened,you wouldn’t be able to give them away.

There are certainly more people breeding dogs at the moment,but its the puppy farms that are the real proble,as I’m sure you know. Price is down to supply and deman,simple as that,in 12 months time theyll be less,for sure.

Out here (Spain) the poor little B***s still can't be given away and even tho' vets fees are considerably lower than in the UK the average person still cannot afford to have their dogs spayed/neutered.

When I was a lad you couldn't give pups away.

And thats why i love places like greece Spain and Portugal....they havent reached that same level of utter stupidity that the uk has been diving head long in to since the 80's
I blame thatcher .....as soon as she encouraged everyone to buy their own house ...the country went nuts.

Jackie is having one of those should i shouldn't i dilemma's ....she lost her collie back in june ... I think she should but im not saying too much as im having a similar dilemma myself. ...it doesn't help that she's feeding them all now lol

But all these dogs are lovely ....both mums have such a lovely nature.....if the pups grow up the same they will make great pets

I understand your quandary but I'm saying nowt to influence you.
Think carefully and choose wisely, maybe check first what are the requirements for the next country you are about to enter.
Just a word for Jackie, I've had collies for years, (very intelligent and trainable). My two mastins are also extremely intelligent dogs but with minds of their own and will consider if or when they will carry out your 'commands'. Very different to the collies.
Good luck with your decision making.

Try long dogs - Whippets in particular. I've come to the conclusion I should have practiced with a cat before considering Whippets.

I think they're particularly nice dogs . If Jackie's looking for a new dog, I think she could do much worse than one of these.
As for yourself, if you really want another dog, then go for it, but the question has to be, 'Do you really want another dog?' Only you know the answer.
