After that we headed up in to the mountains to kastania cave which is closed due to covid but its a beautiful scenic road with amazing views .....stumbled accross a flat bit ground with amazing views over elifonosis and where we were parked the last few days so decided to stop here for tonight

Great video but I turned my iPad on its side,then another turn, ended up behind the settee doing a handstand and now I’m feeling nauseous so thanks for that suggestion!!!!

Back in the late 80's I briefly visited the petrified forest and the painted desert in the USA. I think they were two of the most beautiful and fascinating places I have ever seen.

Re the Greeks wanting to chat, we have been told that off season many like practising their English as often as possible otherwise they’re a bit rusty when tourist season comes round again. I guess that’s especially true this year as it has been necessarily quiet.

Ive found a little furry friend but she ( i think its a she ) is very very nervous....had a handful of biscuits and half a tin of meat so far .
Very nearly had her eating out my hand but she got within 6 inches then backed away .....then wandered off a little

Spoke to a greek lady in a car who says she has seen this dog around here for a few months ...also thinks its stray ...she was saying thank you ,god bless you for feeding it etc

Still can't get her to come near though

She may well be a stray Tam but she looks in pretty good shape, it's hard but you can't save them all.
By all means feed her but she is safer if she is a bit wary, you will be moving on in a day or two.

Some photos from today ....view from the church near last nights parking spot ...then a few from the road down ....a little island with a cemetery on just 10km outside monemvasia ....some of the graves were trashed which i hope was by the weather and not vandals .... this was just before finding the wee dog.


I'm Parked up at monemvasia now facing the rock ....theres a takeaway open so might have some giros tonight or Slouvaki. Its been raining almost since we got here but supposed to be nice and sunny tomorrow.... probably stay around here a few days


I hope that wee dog found shelter

Hope you are going to visit Greece’s Gibraltar. Pretty touristy but lovely .
Jealous of the takeaway ! Restaurants, cafes and bars been shut here forever and due to open in January 15th but was s a very big maybe as it looks like lockdown 3 is on its way hastened by the new virus strain After that gyro you will never buy a U.K. one again lol

I got told off in Portugal last year from members on here for leaving a tip in restaurants.

No tourists here just now we were surprised to be the only 2vans here

We left our van at Finikouna and hired a car to visit the area . Stayed in the hotel first on the right along the front . On the island way too expensive for a Scot lol
