Run to the sun….

Great thread Garry (y)
I have hundreds of pieces of the Berlin wall mounted on timber bases! All genuine from my local demolition site!
All these genuine bullets and artefacts they dig up and sell really do make me laugh.
So much of the Berlin wall has been sold that it would have stretched to Moscow!
Anyway, keep on posting cos it's a very good read. Good luck

Hi Garry, great thread, Chris and I were really moved after reading about the "Oradour-sur-Glane Massacre on the 10th June 1944, such a dreadful waste of life.
On a different note, last night we went to our local theatre were John Nichol gave a talk about the Unknown Warrior and how the Reverend David Railton came up with the scenario to remember those who died but were never identified.
An amazing story and all achieved in less than two yrs.

I have no idea as to where I’m going next but I want to go to Carcasonne but in no hurry whatsoever so if anyone can suggest anything old interesting and architectural culture is good for me, not into big cities but will park outside and go in if there’s something great to see…
I m sure you know but this may be of interest. https://www.motorhomefun.co.uk/forum/journals/categories/continental-tours.77/map Just click on a place for some form of blog on it.
If you havent been to Carcasonne then you have to go and (IMO) you then dont have to return. From what I remember it may be a hard day for you on the cobbled tight streets heaving with tourists. Great from the outside.
For Sarlat you may want to consider Grolejac. Its about 11kms into Sarlat on a very smooth voie verte crossing the Dordogne. https://www.motorhomefun.co.uk/forum/journals/grolejac-to-sarlat.138/ I m unsure of your range though
Mirepoix is very nice. https://www.motorhomefun.co.uk/forum/journals/grolejac-to-sarlat.138/ with a flat short stroll into very nice town (and voie verte but a tad boring to start with)

Enjoy
