Reject it as "Not fit for purpose" if on finance contact them tell them its their motorhome, get them to recover cash from 1st , the dealer and 2nd Burstner.
Know the laws in England are different than in Scotland but we had to do this many years ago with a new Autotrail Arapaho (post all of it here on the forum) few days before it was due to go the High Court in Edinburgh they paid up !
Get a court order and copy too both named above and to Burstners head office abroad, have it recorded and delivered by court officer by hand because it they do not sign for the letter they can deny ever having receiving it.
Wish you all the best !
as i see it he only had it in september 2018Good luck with a van over 2 years old

You can check if any vehicle including Motorhomes have had an official recall on safety grounds here https://www.gov.uk/check-vehicle-recall
None show up for Burstner so it hasn't gone through gov.uk
BURSTNER All models 2017
This vehicle has no recalls.
If you think this vehicle may have been recalled, contact the manufacturer's dealership.
For a product proven not fit for purpose you have I believe up to six years to make a claim.
I would definitely inform the trader that you bought it from and with who your purchase contract is that you will return the vehicle to them along with copies of documentation from Burstner proving it is not usable and request full refund plus your additional costs as vehicle is not fit for purpose.
It is your right in law.
You have to give the Dealer an opportunity to repair the fault. If they fail then you have more of a case and can then ask for a refund.
You can reject the vehicle in the first 30 days and get your money back if it is faulty and not what you expected it to be. Ie no payload, wrong colour or not what you ordered.
Perhaps if you were following the thread you would have realised who I was replying to. I was NOT referring to the OPs problem as to be honest I don't think there is one. No self respecting company would send a letter out like that. I would have thought that if Burstner had a serious issue they would make contact with the Dealer so that they could contact their client. From having dealt with Laika and asking for a part they asked for my address to send them to. All they had was the VIN number that tells them what was built. If you follow this thread through nobody has been able to confirm a fault exists, and in general most people feel the letter quoted in the OP is fake.
Geoff
Yes, afraid I am coming to the same conclusion, apart from one small post he has only had one thing to post about. It's a wind up by an illiterate person case closed.
If your still there, use it, forget about the letter

sorry to hijack your post but how do you see the post numbers pleaseYour post No. 72, without any quote, started 'Your gripe...', so I assumed it was addressed to OP and his gripe.
Followed in your post No. 73 starting 'You have to give....' Forgive me for again assuming you were addressing the OP, despite the quote in 73 from Larrywin, since he himself does not have a complaint.
Geoff
Turn your phone sideways and there's extra infosorry to hijack your post but how do you see the post numbers please
Bottom right of post, if you are viewing on a phone they will only show in landscape view.sorry to hijack your post but how do you see the post numbers please
This must surely be the most reliable way of finding out whether the vehicle has been recalled. It would it appear it hasn't.
